so i want to set up my closet its kind of weird dimensions. only 19" deep 33" long but 9 feet tall! So i was thinking of making it 2 stories. BTW this is the part of the closet past the door, in the sense of to to the left of the door... its a funny shaped closet. so i want to make a false wall. so ventilation would go dirctly into the rest of the closet and leve the door open but all you see is clothes.

I need it be dead silent as my head will be on the other side of the somwhat thin wall. and my roomates on the other. and no smell! if i

so i was thinking of getting some computerfans at about 20 dcb each to solve that one... but im not quite sure how to wire them as they run on 12 v. ---I was wondering if using a car battercharger would work as it converts it to 12 volts, but it runs 1 amp. I am under the impression 1 amp is 120 watts? but the fans im looking at (made by silenx) use very little wattage. so I could use more fans off same car battercharger conversion i suppose? How do i split to run more fans? more importantly would this work? if not what is a better solution?

im not sure if to go with fluoros or hps? due to space restictions.

im thinking either 2 250w hps with some addtional 105w cfls and the 250w hps in glass covered reflectors using the computer fan to cool the lights. 1-250w hps per level. would i also need to make additinal holes in the wall to vent the 250watters in addition to normal exhast?
or maybe ust getting a bunch of 105 w cfls from 1000bulb . com ? If i had maybe 6-8 105 watters would heat be an issue?
which option is more realilistic for a 4.5foot ceiling while not overheating or creating noise?

what would the relative ratios of dry bud harvested be of those two options?

also i was thinking 2 or 3 plants per level.. what do you think?

it really doesnt matter what type of light you use as long as you have a lot of it. If you think heat will be an issue, which i agree with, then go with the CFLs.

Hey,
Considering your space, I'd go with CFL's. And you probably wouldn't need that many of the 105watters. Maybe some of the 65-85 watters with reflectors so you can place them better. But for the fans, don't use the car charger. It just takes up space and is more power than you need. A better option would be to get one of those AC-DC wall adapters from RadioShack, cut off the end, and splice in your fan.

You could even get one of these that switches voltage, so you could control the speed of your fan. If you have more than one fan, just connect + to +, and - to -. You'll want 500+mA for 2-3 fans. I'm using a 9v 750mA one right now and it has been working just fine(little less noise from fan). Just curious, are you going soil or hydro?
Good Luck.

If your using one of those RS jobbies, pick up a connector and some wire when you buy the adapter, that way you don't have to cut the end off of it, and can use it with different fans, etc.

Of course, hacking the end off of whatever you have lying around is easier. I used to have orphaned wall warts galore.....now they all get the guillotine!
