No one cares to find it odd when a state-operated news agency runs stories critical of another country...

Only in America would people herald this bullshit...and only from a country whose leaders are inextricably linked to the state-run oil and gas companies (which have literally untold billions of dollars missing...)and yet nearly two-thirds of their population lives in squalor...

Lapp up that bullshit...it's meant for you.

I've watched a bit of RT and Al jazeera, granted I figure both have an agenda, but then so does most of the US news. While I do believe the US is an evil empire, it's by no means the most evil, although it it may be the most influential.

The truth is if you want to find out the crap the US is doing, you just aren't likely to find it on the US networks and if it is, it will likely receive very little air time. I think what I like about RT and Al jazeera is they still do investigative journalism, something that was deemed unprofitable by most big networks in the US.

Sure scattered around on the smaller networks, but most of them lack the budget to report most of it like RT and Al jazeera. I see nothing wrong with watching either as long as you know what they are about.

I agree there is some good stuff on RT - especially if your looking for live raw footage - shadeslay said it well - it is biast also but its important to get the other side of the story I think.

RT is owned and operated by ANO TV-Novosti, not the Russian Government. So in other words, you were wrong, wrong some more and then wrong again.

ya really Id say a lot of it could be classified as pro-american - and even anti-russian - It depends on the program you watch.

Did you research where their money comes from? I would say that pretty much means they are govt operated...

Where do most of the politicians in the United States election and campaign funds come from? I would pretty much say that the USA is ruled by corporate interests if you should infer the same about RT being government run. BTW what is wrong with Russia? They aren't evil people or anything you know. The USA is the most evil government to ever exist on the face of the earth, we leave nothing but death and destruction everywhere we seemingly go. For every humanitarian mission that saves one person, we bomb, shoot, eviscerate or poison hundreds of others.

And diversion from the erroneous statement you have made...cool, cool, we'll keep it moving then I guess...

What is wrong is that if the US were to have a state-run news agency (like virtually every outlet in Russia, and china btw) that was lambasting the actions of other governments, there would be uproar and fervor over it from those countries. But the US, being a stand-up super power, takes it on the chin and allows it to happen because WE STILL HAVE DEMOCRACY...whether you acknowledge it or not, you live it and breathe it.

To say "the US is the most evil government ever" is beyond ridiculous. You pretty much just gave Hitler a pass, Stalin a pass, Mao a pass, Pol Pot a pass, Suharto a pass, Mbgabe a pass, I could go on for days...Your claims are baseless and founded upon nothing but your own prejudice.

Yes yes, Democracy, what the founding fathers were very well aware of and intended to NEVER HAVE. Unfortunately we really do have a democracy and a republic in name only. Democracies Always fail.

They are all owned by somebody with an agenda. So its important to use a wide variety of sources and take them all with a grain of salt.

But whatever you do, don't watch FAUX

RT has a lot of stuff that other agnecies will not touch. Also I like Adam VS The Man. Hes a bit out there sometimes but overall its an excelent program. Adam got arrested on sunday in think it was? He doesnt just talk the talk, he also gets out there and stirs shit up and gets tackled by cops. Adam Vs The man has some great episodes regarding current prohibition.

Heres some funny shit about FAUX, funny ass shit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yn7_8QL2weQ

Everything you said here applies to US news outlets. In fact these words apply more to US news than they do RT. I applaud your skeptisism type view but you need to apply it evenly to all, and had you done that -and- watched more RT and Aljazeera you would already know how truly pathetic our news really is in comparison.

To prove my point I give you Hillary Clinton saying exactly that and exactly how much better she thinks Aljazeera and RT are in her own words. Also this one clip if you find it in it's entirety proves just how much propaganda is against us in america and just how much of a war against the truth we are in. All you have to do is pay attention to this one senate hearing and her demand that we fund our propaganda better and ask yourself why would this be necessary when we are so far in debt it's not even funny.

You should be asking yourself what information war, and against who. Our propaganda never has swayed external opinions, only internal to this country.

I know this was just a joke, but ironically that too is honestly more of a US thing.
