I really like that screen that you made. I like how you mounted it to your pot so that you can take the whole thing out of your cabinet. I was always a little worried that you'd run out of room. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. My plant really shot up after I switched to 12/12, like yours. But after a while it stopped growing taller for good and just grew more bud.

Hey, I posted my final weight & smoke report here. The yield would have been better except for the leaf burn that my plant suffered for a long time. So I feel lucky that it turned out as well as it did.

Good luck, bro. You're taking very good care of your plant and she's looking really healthy. This is an experiment, right? You should get some bud off of her no matter what. And you'll learn something no matter what happens, too. I think your cabinet is a cool idea and I think that you can get it to work. If not this time, then try it again with some tweaks based on what you learned. I'm staying tuned!

Hey man just read your final weight and smoke report, that's some pretty nice results tbh, and I'm glad you have your medicine man!

Yeah, initially I wanted to nail the screen to the sides of the box, but a bit of sober thinking made me realize how bad of an idea that was :P

Just a quick question, how long in total did you flower your's before chop chop? (I know you chopped a bit early). I think mine started showing it's flowers yesterday....will show you all how it looks close-up tonight ^^

One thing I learned for sure from this cabinet: Never bother with another micro grow unless you really have to:P Honestly, I feel it's the same amount of work, even more hassle than growing more than one plant in a larger space. And never have such a small grow box directly on the floor......I already have back problems from breaking my spine a few years ago, so it's a bit of a pain leaning down for so long and trying to squeeze my head in there all the time :D

So yeah, this was more of an experiment for me, I'd be happy if I net as little as an ounce, the knowledge gained here is more valuable than that :)

Thanks for staying tuned and for the support! Let me know when you have beans in the ground again mate and it's nice hearing from you ;)

I chopped at 57 days, which is about a week earlier than I would have liked to. But I think that if my plant didn't have any health problems she wouldn't have taken so long to finish. I like the idea of having a stealthy grow in a compact space like you have, if you can get it to work as envisioned. But if you have more space, you could grow just one plant and still fill up a fairly large space with it. My plant took up about 18"x36"x36" (36" tall). I'm curious to see if you're able to limit your plant's growth enough to keep it in your stealthy little box, though. That would be convenient for a lot of people who just want a little without taking up much space.

Hello again guys, it's time for another update!

Things have been going well and the plant seems to be doing OK.

Over the last few days she started showing her flowers :weed:

This is how she looked like last night before lights go off:
DSC00629.JPGDSC00630.JPGDSC00631.JPGDSC00632.JPGDSC00633.JPGDSC00634.JPG

I read that Molasses was a good addition to any soil grow!
Apparently it's not something the plant uses and absorbs directly, rather, the carbohydrates / sugars in it create a better soil environment and later help the plant by increasing it's root absorption of nutrients in the soil.

So I dissolved a teaspoon of some Pomegranate molasses (4% carbs) into a cup of boiling water and then diluted it into my regular 3 liter 6.4PH Watering.

I also did some more LST maintenance by pulling some shoots down and over the screen again since there has been a lot of stretch lately and some risk of light-burn.

She seems to be doing well for now, here are some pics of today with some attempts at macro shots of jail-bait bud porn, what do you all think? :joint:

DSC00635.JPGDSC00636.JPGDSC00637.JPGDSC00638.JPG

So for my next watering / feeding, will it be OK if I give her some more Molasses and this time can I add cal/mag to it along with my flowering nutes? OR should I spread that out into 2 or 3 feedings?

Thanks for reading!
Happy Growing!

Sorry I can't help with your latest questions, I'm not a soil grower. But I bet that Flowamasta guy could help you out if you want to ask him directly. He grows in soil and hydro. He's posted here before.

I used to feed with a mix of nutrients at half dose and added aquashield for the beneficals. I didn't have good results with molasses. Have you considered brewing your own compost/tea mix? When I grew in soil I had fun making guano teas and such and had real good results.. Bout all I can suggest as an ex soil guy.

hey man, if you are having luck with molasses, then keep it going, if you are worried, spread it out over a few feedings, and watch for signs, i don't know much about molasses, but any carbs are good, early in the flowering stage, if you give it to plants too late it wont absorb the enrgy needed for bud growth, as far as i know anyway, be careful, i can see a bit of tip burn on a few leaves, they are perky, so i dont think much food is needed at this time, but carbs maybe ok in small doses, it may increase their vigor.

mate i'd say you are right on the money......just small changes for now, looks nice and green, and perky, subbed up mate....+rep

Everything's looking great, see you got the yellow in the leaves taken care of, looking strong and healthy man

Awesome to see, great progress so far

also about your question, I'd definitely go with flowmasta's advice, small changes, don't do anything too drastic or else you might actually go too far. In my opinion it's always easier to fix when you have been lacking on something, it's when you over do something that it can really bite you in the ass.

I can't brew any compost tea man, I live in an apartment....though I wish I could do that and go 100% organic!
Thanks for pitching in bro!

Thanks fellas. gonna take your advice and give it to her in doses.

I think the molasses is working for her, so gonna give her another dose of it next week. I still feel I might be having a slight N deficiency, all the leaves below the canopy have died off and those that didn't are a pale yellow, I removed a lot of them recently. So next feeding will take place tomorrow, it will include a last dose of Grow at 0.8ml / 2 liters, as well as 1.6ml Bloom and 0.8ml Micro.

Time for another update mates,

I had to take out the lights and do some fine-tuning on the box, to make it a bit spacier for her to fit into. So the only thing I could do was remove the light array, take out the hooks that were holding it to the ceiling of the box and nail it up on the ceiling itself. The problem was the fan, it was blocking the whole operation, so I removed the fan and placed it on the back of the box, this allowed me to mount the array flush on the ceiling. By doing so I managed to squeeze out another 3 inches of height.

Now if my plant decides to get taller all I'll be able to do is just tie her down and LST her above the screen.

Well here is how things looked yesterday March 29:

DSC00639.JPGDSC00640.JPGDSC00641.JPGDSC00642.JPG

And here are a few shots from today, replaced the malfunctioning light bulb.
Quick question: I have 3 warm white bulbs and 1 cool white bulb, shall I replace the 1 cool white bulb with another orange bulb?

DSC00643.JPGDSC00644.JPGDSC00645.JPGDSC00646.JPGDSC00647.JPGDSC00648.JPGDSC00649.JPGDSC00650.JPGDSC00651.JPGDSC00652.JPGDSC00653.JPG

Look how much foliage was lost below screen!

Also notice the two small shoots under the screen, any chance of them making it?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
Happy growing :weed:

Hey there guys, sorry for the lack of updates, well not much going on other than that she is doing well :)

I gave her a good feeding last night at full strength, N included and used some mineral water that was high in Cal / Mag....she seems to be liking it as the buds have swelled up a little overnight ^^

So far so good, more pics coming as soon as I have something worth showing :)

Happy growing and thanks for reading!
