rumour has it that Health Canada now dates your ACMPR production licence at time of regerstration and not to date on which doctor signs. Can anybody confirm? This means that your 1 year grow licence starts when they mail back your “permit” to grow, not from doctors appointment date. This would be great, seeing that you could wait 3-5 months to get your “permit” to grow.

Thats just it..

it talks about how long its been taking for the last couple years...
Its all about WAITING TO LONG and not having a license until you get it in the mail.
The thread is all about what yer talking about here..

That's what I thought - you're good to go the day your doc signs not the day HC says so...what am I missing itsme?....how is waiting 3-5 for a permit to grow, good?

Is that for sure?? I could be wrong but thought I read somewhere on the Health Canada website or application that you're not technically allowed to grow until your licence arrives to you. So if your Dr. signed in March and your license doesn't show up for another 3 months than you're really only getting a 9 month license and getting ripped off of 3 months.

It does kinda make sense though because what happens if someone rats you out to the cops for growing and your paper work at HC hasn't been processed yet? Cops phone HC and than come bust you cause it looks like you have no license. Sure you'll get off in court but who wants that hassle?

Tbh I really can't see anyway around that situation other having HC hire more staff or move their asses faster... Lazy cunts.
I must have misunderstood
All I meant was that when your registration finally does show up the expiry date is 1 yr from the date the dr signs. If it’s a one yr script
So if for instance when my renewal was signed july27 and mailed same day I just got it back and it expires July 27 not feb27th when I got it back.
Still ridiculous

I’ve been hearing that previously your licence was renewed on the anniversary of when your doc signed. But now recent issued licences to grow are renewed on the date the licence was sent to patient from HC. Eliminating the 2-5 months you get short changed while waiting for your licence. Looking to confirm.....

Historically it’s been since the DR signs. I have reason to believe this is because Turmel is getting licenses turned around in 3weeks and has also brought this up to the courts about time.

I absolutely remember hearing about this as well. Somewhere on here, it was one of the proposed changes.

Just noticed this on Twitter

“Great news for #ACMPR personal production and designated growers. The date on the registration document is now the date on which @GovCanHealth issues the document and no longer the date the Dr. signed the document.”
