Round Number 2

So here goes round number 2. Number one had some problems but was a success.
Here is the final product from last time

So I have made some changes. Instead of using mylar I spray painted the tubberware container. 2 coats of black and then 2 coats of white.

Doing a light test, almost no light gets through the lining of the tub.

The hole in the top is for my fan for air ventilation.

Made the holes a little bigger for the passive air system. There are 6 holes in total around the bottom.

The pots for the first 3 weeks of the plants lives. 3L water jugs with the tops cut off and holes punched in the bottom. Couldn't find anywhere selling 3L soda bottles so these will have to do.

Just getting started but should be up and running within a few days. Growing 10 auto assasins and 2 UFOs (Connie Chung and a type of Cheese)
Feel free to post up.

Thats a nice bit of buds from a rubber maid grow :)
Thanks! But I admit they were taken out of the rubbermaid last time around week 4. The 4 females were then transferred to a small little closet. Same light setup as the rubbermaid though. Hoping this time can increase yields at least 1.5x.

So far 2 seeds have popped(my 2 UFOs from attitude). The others look like they will be popping soon. Making up the pots now(Foxfarm with a bag of extra perlite mixed in).

on your last grow you were going to collect pollen and try to make your own seeds....did you ever get around to doing this? or at least collect and store pollen ?

I did collect pollen from one of the males. I don't think I stored it well because when I went to pollinate a female it didn't take. However, I did find one seed way later on after harvest so maybe that came from her. Will probably try to germinate that seed next time. Definitely going to try to breed again this time!

So did a lot better this time. Last time only 7 out of 10 sprouted. This time 12 out of 12 sprouted! They are all looking good, with the two photos being the quickest to germinate and sprout but all the others caught up quick. One didn't germinate in the paper towel but I figured I would plant it anyways and it sprouted quicker than some of the others. I have one mutantish one - hard to see but its in the 3rd row. So far so good though! Been keeping them on 24/0 for right now but will be dropping them down to 20/4 soon hopefully once I can figure out a way to control light leaks while in the tub.

Added Some more lights

Row 1

Row 2

Row 3 (If you look closely at the center one you will see it only has half a set of leaves- will be an interesting plant)

Everything is going pretty well. All the plants are growing pretty nicely; one of them still has a seed stuck to it but its looking like its about to come off.
More then a few of the plants are experiencing some leaf curling so it is either heat stress or not enough water. I gave them some extra water today and moved the fan a little closer. I have 2 more bulbs in there than I did last time so that could be doing it I suppose.

They are still going. Sorry I have not updated in forever. I have been extremely busy. Maybe I will do it tonight. Not sure if they are doing as well as my last run. Seems to be two phenos, ones that stay ridiculously short and another which takes off and gets pretty tall for an auto. Pics tonight around 9 or 10pm.

I know they don't look amazing but my cab is only a 1/3 of the way done so the growing conditions are not optimal but none the less they keep on going.
Right front is connie chung, left front is sour cream, the rest auto assassin.
