i too prefer to trim up some of the fan leaves that are "crowding" between the colas... it allows for better air flow between the plant which helps pest and mold issues...

Yea but this El Monstre sure makes some nice budz to make up for the long flowering time. My next grow is gonna be with 2 fast flowering Indicas Jackberry & Extrema which are both 8 wk strains

They are 6 weeks into flowering today. My new air pump should be delivered today and I also ordered some pH up just in case I need some. I have been having a low pH lately since my pump went out. I think it's because the lack of oxygen in the rez so the new pump should correct that and if it doesn't then the pH up will.

I've read about your pump problem and you should have something like this " Non return check valve air pump protector " they're cheap

Preciate ya Riddle! For now I just made sure to put my new pump above my plants, so it should be good now but that would still be nice to have one of those for extra protection.
TGH that looks nice! Whew a 15 wk, the 12 wk El Mon is long enough for me but the longer strains pay off with bigger budz usually.

Air pump and pH up got here on Monday so I hooked it up and the pH is at 5.8 which is where it needs to stay. So far so good. I think the ladies are happy now with more oxygen back in the rez. I can tell that this GH pH up is not as potent as the AN line of pH product. I put just a couple drops of the AN pH down to lower the pH but had to pour a couple cap fulls in the rez of the GH pH up to raise it to 5.8 so we shall see how stable it is.

I had about 1 1/2 grams of some dro in a bag in my lap between my legs yesterday for some reason I didn't put it back in my pocket. Well I was leaving work and stopped at the dumpsters then stepped out of the truck to throw trash away then got back in the truck and drove to drop my helper off at home while smoking a blunt of his bud on the way. I got home which was about 20 minutes from work and realized I had dropped my bag so I drove 20 minutes back to work and parked by the dumpsters to look for it but didn't see it. Then I went to leave and seen the bag laid out flat on the parking lot (I had parked over it) so I ran over and got it. It had been ran over and the bud was smashed but hey it still smokes so I'm happy cuz it was all the bud I had. This is an apartment complex where I dropped it so I was lucky that it was still there an hour later with as many people that drive thru there. Thought I'd share that with y'all!

i had something like this happen to me once. i was at a music festival and reached into my pocket where there should have been my bag and low and behold it was gone i searched everywhere and couldnt find it. after about 2 hrs of walking around feeling sorry for myself i happened to be going past the spot where i thought i lost it and there it was just sitting there 2 hrs and 30000 people walking around and no one had spotted it and picked it up i couldnt believe it. it was right in the middle of the walkway?

My pH has been a steady 5.6-5.8 since adding the new pump back into the grow and using the small air pump for my ext rez. The ext rez air pump has been a very good addition to my grow and keeps all of my water oxygenated. The GH pH up seems to be holding steady even tho I don't think the GH product is as potent as the AN product it serves the purpose that I need it for.

I am going out of town at the end of the week and will be gone for a week so when I return it should be around week 9 and Extrema will be coming down. I may have to chop off a small bud to take with me and smoke on it as a sampler. I really wish I didn't have to leave at harvest time, but it gives me something to look forward to when I get back. These budz are between 10-15 inches long so I should have a decent yield with the Extrema but prob not as much as the El Monstre will yield.

I cut off 2 small tops from Extrema to let them dry out for samplers. Even after I washed my hands with dawn soap and hot water my fingers are still a little sticky and I can still smell it on my fingers. Whew! Can't wait to try her out. So I have a question. Do y'all do your trimming before or after you hang dry? Last round I did it before but this round I'm thinking to pull the fans before and do my close trimming after it's dry. Any suggestions?
