never tried chottle, but bottle tech is my fav thus farWhich is better bottle tech, chottle tech, or just fill and squish? Flower rosin I'm talking
I have tried em. Just wanted to see what some folks smarter than me thought. Thanks for the replyTry em and let us know.
it seems like youd run the risk of particles of plant material in the final product with chottle, no?I have tried em. Just wanted to see what some folks smarter than me thought. Thanks for the reply
I press bud sometimes with no bag, use a small keif press for pre press. Not much gets into rosin. Just can't do big amount at once. Chottle about the same.it seems like youd run the risk of particles of plant material in the final product with chottle, no?
Weird since I get a better yield when I use bags vs just pressing a puck. Reason is the bags keep the material from expanding, whereas a puck will just get flatter and flatter while it expands wider and wider.I never use bags. Just puck it up and press. U guys are burning money.
This is not just a hobby, but my business as well. I need 100% clean rosin, even a tiny bit of particulate is unacceptableI press bud sometimes with no bag, use a small keif press for pre press. Not much gets into rosin. Just can't do big amount at once. Chottle about the same.
Just from my own experience, I've pressed 4-5 different strains, the rosin texture or oiliness is strain dependent as well as how moist the bud is your pressing.Just a question to post In the thread again are we saying oily rosin is due to ie: strain, to much pressure, a high room temp and press plate temp? Sometimes I think it’s the humidity of the bud in my opinion ive been pressing at 55-60% humidity in my curing jars. I’ve pressed a couple straines I’ve grown, but I get the most believe it or not from months cured stuff I buy.
you can squish hash into rosin also..Your thinking resin. Rosin is this oils from the flower when you apply pressure and heat
Nice. What temp are you pressing at?View attachment 5102426View attachment 5102427View attachment 5102428View attachment 5102429
Harbor Freight shop press (converted to air jack) and a set of "Low Temp" plates for squishing Rosin.
