hi roseman im a big fan of yours, you should be up for some sort of award for all your input to the web ,
my pal just bought a bubbler bucket setup which has an air pump but no water pump . is it possible to water the rock wool manual until the roots hit the water ?? the set up came with too 20 ltr buckets an air pump and too air curtains ph down bloom+ veg .

Lots of people grow in a plain DWC system successfully, by starting clones or sprouts with roots already present. Starting a seed in a DWC is not so easy, and YES you can water the cubes by hand frequently, like every two hours and it can survive. You can also make a simple DRIP system, but poking a hole in the bottom of a large plastic coke bottle and letting it drip our, or secure a tube in the hole, running to the grow cup.
There are lots of successful DWC growers here on this site, and they can better advise you.. Welcome to RIU, hope you stick around.

hi roseman im a big big fan , and need some advise , a friend of mine has just got a bubble bucket set up {2too 20 ltr buckets an air pump 2 air curtains ph down bloom and veg an ph test chart } which has no water pump . is it posible to water the rock wool manually until the roots hit the water , the set up manual says nothing about a water pump , just plug in and go but we cant work out how the seed will get water before it its roots grow . and after seeing your set up we thought somthing was missing but the supplier said thats all he needed .

can it work with out a water pump ? p.s sorry if im in the wrong place its first post , cheers

My grow area is staying 84 degrees with the air conditioner off, and about 80 with it on. Not perfect, but good enough for me. I have an oscilating fan on them, a ceiling fan on, and two wet bath towels hanging in the closet, dripping into 5 gallon buckets. I also have 2 cups of water sitting on each top of the tanks and the bucket. My humidity is up and down, hanging as low as 40% and sometimes up to 48%.

I did get a little leaf tip burning, about 1/4 inch of curled up and yellowed and cripsy leaf, on two of the bucket plants from over feeding while they were too young. But the growth rate is amazing! I have enough lumens so that they can eat the bigger meal.

I adjsut my pH to close to 6.0 everyday, and every day it goes to 7.0, and I adjust it back down .5.....usually twice, in 8 hour intervals.

I am very satisfied.

Hey i purchased the bubbleponics complete system after reading about all the benefits as opposed to building my own set up... I ordered the system like 10 days ago and i have not received a shipping # or any other info... Should i be worried? Also, i live in California and im planning on buying clones from a dispensary /Club when my system has arrived, If u could choose any strain to grow what would u advise? I like Indicas and i have seen u refer Black Domina to other members

You seem like the right guy to ask. I'm starting my first hydro grow and have a basic question about adding nutes. So if I mix a reservoir full of nutes and check the ppm the next day and its decreased to I add more nutes to keep it at the same ppm or do I wait until the next week and change the water and remix nutes? Basically I'm not sure how you go about adding nutrients is it a mix one reservoir at a time type thing or do you adjust (and how do you adjust)?

If its been discussed in detail please link me I've read the forums for a couple days looking for my question particularly and came up short.

you need to phone them. They send a confimation email when they get an order and they send a Shipping email to you too.

I love Northern Lights, it grows big, gives a big yield, is powerful smoke and a great high.

I am always glad to help anyone and answer any questions, but this is not the thread for that. This thread is a Teaching Tutorial about MY grow, and not a thread for other people to post pics of their grow in. I have no knowledge or experience with auto-flowering, with 19/5 light, or Advanced Nutrients.
Any grower can see you got some serious nute burn, and about to get Nute-Lock.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS THE HIGHEST IT SHOULD GO BECAUSE I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HEAT TOO AND IT IS ALL CFL'S (10- 23W SPIRALS AND I ALSO HAVE 6-65W SPIRALS). I STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HEAT AND IT HAS ME CRAZY BECAUSE IT GETS TO 85 W/O THE AC ON ALL DAY. I HAVE A 3'x3'X4' GROW AREA (BUILT IT MYSELF) WITH TWO 4" INDUCTOR FANS FROM HOME DEPOT WHICH ARE AT THE TOP PART OF THE BACK WALL OF THE BOX. ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO GET THE HEAT DOWN WITHOUT USING THE AC ALL DAY? (ONE SMALL OSCILLATING FAN AND ONE OF THE DUAL FAN WINDOW FANS ALONG THE BOTTOM OF ONE WALL AS THE INTAKE FAN)

Though not ideal, 85 is okay. I wouldn't let it go beyond that. At about 90, growth will stop.

My sincerest appologies to the community.....not a hi-jacker, just didn't see it before i replied. I too am interested in seeing it all the way through that's why i am subscribed...keep up the good work bubbleheads!!!!!
