Sorry mrsmith. No end here though.

He moved to another website. Four Twenty Magazine. He finished it up over there if you need to read through it.

Yep, all growers debate that one. The MFG or Instructional CD says after the roots hit deep water, put the pump on a timer, 3 minutes an hour of pumping. That is OK.
Some growers remove the pump and tubes, but that is very difficult to do, and some just turn it off. Either is OK.

I use my pump to drain the tank, to pump the water out when I Drain and Replinish. I also beleive the pump cools the water slightly by moving it around, by pumping it to the cups and the waer falling back down in the air, it cools it too.
I leave mine in, and run it often after the roots hit the deep water..
One quick question that may be obvious, but do you lower the water level as the roots get longer? What is the lowest you can get it, or should get it by the end of the plants life? What levels should it be at veg and flowering?

Today most citie use chlorinated water. Many cities have switched to a form called Chloramine. This form will not dissipate, will not evaporate, will stay in the water forever.

You can check if your city uses Chlormine on your water supply's website. All info must be reported on Chloramine levels.

Found out my water does have chloramine! what water do I use?

i cant speak for roseman, as im not sure he is still active on this site, but heres my .02:

growing indoors, a veg cycle is not always required nor desirable in certain situations.
imho, 24 hours of light for 2 weeks is all you really need unless your trying to grow 4-6 foot trees.
recently, ive experimented with 12/12 from seedlings (10 days under 24/7 t5's then switched to 12/12), and im pleasantly surprised with the results, but my op is a SOG... so im not shooting for big bushes.

by eliminating the veg cycle altogether, it shortens the lengths of time between harvests ;) remember that alot of strains will double in height when you switch from veg to flower.... this 'stretching' messes up the plans of alot of novices when suddenly there plants are within 6" of there lights only 1 week into flowering. if you give them 24 hours of light to get on there feet for 2-3 weeks, and switch to 12/12, you can get a harvest in as little as 11 weeks from germination... instead of 2-3 months of veg, then min 8 weeks flowering. yes, you get bigger plants with long veg cycles, but it drastically lengthens the growth cycle. also alot of people have problems with ph during late stage flowering because of nitrate buildup in there growing mediums.... shortening the cycle prevents this from happening! theres lots of advantages, and a few disadvantages to running short veg cycles... its really all a matter of preference

Oh thats too bad, I was liking his thread! So yeah thats what I was looking at, I wanted to get a bigger yield, but this will be my first grow, so I probably should do a SOG. Ive done my homework, but am still a little unsure of things here and there. I also found that with a SOG grow you can get mold buildup in the dense bush because air cannot get through, thats why I was considering going all the way.

I 've done a 18/6 and I did a graduation from starting at 24/7 and reducing an hour a day, down to 18/6 and it is just a large major waste of time.
If you try both, and take notes, you will agree, 24/7 is best.

Take a poll, I did. 24/7 won.
So let me get this straight, You had lights on 24/7 throughout your entire veg growth?

ive run 24/0 thru my present grow and the plants grew a lot quicker than my previous 18/6 schedule(maybe too much!) im 17 days into flower and they're all at least 3 1/2' sum are over 4'. (old school organic grow btw under 600 hps)

OMG!! I made it page 90 took me 2 days. Its a shame a roseman disapeared off the face of the earth. I'm guessing because no-body could follow simple rules about asking questions about their grow. Even after he posted it 10 million times.

The bubbleheads moved to a stress free zone at 420. If you would like that type of environment come on over.

I'm def in need of some help. I think i'm doing something wrong and could use some advice! i have a 400 watt MH and 3 teens just transfered into a dwc system. I have them each in 5 gallon buckets with just 2 airstones goin on. The water is about 2 inches away from the roots. I just see a little sagging. i saw u had a pump inside to get nutes straight to the cube.

The other site is threatening me and I don't need the stress. Evidently someone took my identity and wrote stuff about the site and owner. I am being threatened with a lawsuit. Nice way to protect my privacy. That is why I left I was scared of privacy not being protected.

I do miss all of you though.

Roseman I've got a few questions for ya, I just started a bubbleponics grow about 2 weeks ago identical to your six plant stealth hydro setup. Now when I started the grow I didn't have any hydroton so I used perlite as an alternative to start the grow. Now my rocks are in and I'm ready to do the first real drain and fill running full strength nutes, the roots havent started to grow into the res too much yet, mabey like an inch and a half is the longest root extending from the netpots, How should I transplant these things into hydroton and replace them into my lid without damaging my little sprouts? Oh I forgot to mention, they are about 3.5" to 4" tall and dont show any issues except they are a-little to light green for me so thats why I have decided its time to run full strength nutes, I think they're ready for some nitrogen rich meals. Any help or advice would be appreciated, GrowingNoviceGS
