Rootstock graft

So we can reveg a plant post harvest would it work to graft a clone or 2 on to the main stork to use the rootstock
 
Why not... The idea that started it was. We veg plants to get bigger roots this bigger plants and more flowers so in theory a clone with the root structure of a fuller plant may grow quicker and bigger..... Possibly lol....... Just a stoner thought rattleing about my dome 2nite ha ha
 
I know that you can snap a branch to within a few fibres and it still continues to grow healthy and mend itself if you tape it up, I can't see why a graft would be any different?
 
i suppose you could veg out a rootstock plant and then graft several scions on to the rootstock plant while keeping a few leafy branches on the root stock plant to keep it alive.

it would be far quicker just to grow from seed and forgo the grafting. grafting is useful for slow growing plants like fruit trees, not rapidly growing plants like cannabis.
 
Not sure if he's done it - but as far as your idea goes I'm sure he's got a few to match. I think he was saying this the other day actually..

The trick is to find out how many branches to graft on that makes it worthwhile. If you graft 10 branches and they all take, maybe it’s a faster way.

What about when you have 1 giant huge organic living soil in the basement, and there is a giant stump in the middle with lots of room the graft on to. Reusing the roots might be better. Just saying maybe.
 
I just take a clone shortly into flower, reveg mom after harvest while I flower the clones. It's fast. As for your question... I'd think possible but may or may not be a better methodology. As stated above it MAY make it worth while but a couple few decent sized clones are probably faster. I'll tell ya what though, my turn around and yield ain't complaining.

Imagine a super mother plant with like 6 different strains grafted onto it, kinda like an apple tree with multiple grafts. That would be epic, especially if you flowered it out and they were all different color strains.
