There is a dude on some of the Reddit grow forums who’s done this several times now. He’s grafted like 20+ strains onto a single plant and successfully flowered at least 2 runs like this.

Well thats just dumb, sorry that your state is part nazi.5 is a misdemeanor and 10 is felony

That's super cool, and I will give that a go one day too. Idk if I'll be able to access that many donors in the set amount of time.https://www.reddit.com/r/cannabisbreeding/comments/156ubgu

Edit - I believe their reasoning for doing this was because of flowering-stage plant count limits. They’d pop a bunch of seeds, and take clones. They’d graft clones onto one or 2 moms, to test run 20-40 different cuts at a time, while staying within their legal limit.
Yeah, the dumbest part is there's no distinction between life phases like MN it's 4 for veg and 4 for bloom in VA it's just 4plants periodWell thats just dumb, sorry that your state is part nazi.
This is why we as pot growers should not settle for the bullshit they are calling "legalization"Yeah, the dumbest part is there's no distinction between life phases like MN it's 4 for veg and 4 for bloom in VA it's just 4plants period
Way to up the anti. Now I'm going to be dreaming about building my own lab for the next many monthsWhat is In Vitro Grafting? - Plant Cell Technology
Also known as micrografting, in vitro grafting involves joining miniature scions and rootstocks under aseptic conditions, for the growth of plants. It's different from the traditional grafting, but how? Grafting is the process of joining two plants together to grow as a single plant. The...www.plantcelltechnology.com

In Vitro Micrografting of Horticultural Plants: Method Development and the Use for Micropropagation
In vitro micrografting is an important technique supporting the micropropagation of a range of plant species, particularly woody plant species. Over the past several decades, in vitro micrografting has become a strategy to facilitate shoot recovery and acclimatization of in vitro-grown...www.mdpi.com
How about 2 to 10 (or even 20+) strain micro TC propagated clones, all micro-grafted together right in the same tubes they can be shipped out in, so they are ready to be acclimated to your grow space and take right off? All the hard (very technical & time consuming) work already done in a lab, with sterile procedures & under aseptic conditions..
Imagine being able to legally grow 30-40 strains in your little tent in just a few months, and sample a whole smorgasbord of genetics without having to pop through 100s of seeds, etc. Can even select different root stocks that might be more suited for a certain style you grow, etc. Like, what happens if you use Jamaican lion as the root stock?....
Anyway, that's what I been dreaming of lately. I already know it is the future, but hoping to make it a reality soon!
