Roots is by far the biggest seller at our store. I will say that I have heard people complain of fungus nats a couple times, but when were selling 200+ bags a week and only a handful have had an issue it's hard for me to think roots is the cause. Even if they are the chances of having that issue, seem to be extremely low.
Dude Im not kidding, a guy like me walks into your store and buys 10 to 20 bags if you don't have bales. I prefer bales for stacking and storage purposes and I think its more consistent. I have enough green sand, humic acid, bloom boost and lime to last me 10 years. Other than that I will clean your 3ft by 3ft section out of organics when I stop by.

aloe and root tech are in the dome right now.
aloe kicks ass, It's on my list of "must haves" when growing, aloe, silica, kelp meal, molasses, alpaca and rabbit manure, EWC, and myco are my secret weapons, don't overlook the little things. Every grower should have his own little redworm factory, rabbit pets, and aloe plants growing... Now if only I could find a spot to raise rabbits.... feels weird to raise them soley for their shit though, don't you guys think? I'd feel bad to have them slaughtered for their meat too, and alpacas are huge and live for like 30 yrs, so that's like getting married to a 100KG animal for 30 yrs... THATS why I shop craigslist for alpaca manure and rabbit manure, I got a good hookup, it's kinda funny, i remember having drug "hook-ups" when i was a kid, now i have manure hookups... Ahhh time changes...

I have kids, so the pet bunnies serve two purposes...... keeping the kids happy, and plenty of bunny poop. Those things shit like it's their job.

I have a friend that set up a pretty cool rabbit farm. He raises bunnies for the meat, and also grows weed. He has worm bins below the bunny crates (which are suspended from the ceiling of his barn). All of the poop falls in to the worms bins which he swaps out and harvests every few months. I couldn't bring myself to kill/butcher bunnies, but if that's your thing the meat is very good (all white, similar to chicken) and the added benefit of the worm castings makes for a pretty cool rig.

i gotcha, that's a damn cool setup. my thing is this, i was about 8 yrs old when i visited my aunt and uncle in Oregon, they raised bunnies, and so my curiosity got the better of me, and i watched him get two bunnies, um, "ready" for dinner.... lets just say that the sound they make when their throats are cut are something i'll remember until the day i die. SO i'd just be raising pooping rabbits, which i'm all good with, just seems like a lot of work for just that, and it's not like it's expensive to buy.
yeah, the sound...not cool, later when i was about 17 i got a job at a pig slaughter house, and the same thing, it's the SOUND they make, and then the gurgling blood, bleh, almost turned into a vegetarian, and if you knew me, that's saying a LOT...Slightly traumatized

Ugh! I'm a vegetarian, and an animal lover so the slaughtering of fuzzy little bunnies is something that I couldn't stomach either. As pets they are very low maintenance. We adopted a couple (male and female) about 5-6 years ago.

I say they are very easy to take care of, but I have an allergy to hay so the wifey takes care of everything. She may not echo my "very easy to take care of" sentiment. :-)

Shoot it in the head! How would you rather go out. Knives are old school so old they didn't have guns then.

I had rabbits once. Not all of them have white meat. Some are very mean and bite. Fence posting through snow to get to the hutch in the winter wasn't fun. You have to change their water dish three times a day in the winter unless its heated. A few of mine killed and ate their babies its a pain in the ass. The pellets are just like alfalfa meal maybe even the same thing. skip the rabbits and just buy a bag of alfalfa pellets.

hmm, maybe i'm too much of an old pacifist but shooting them in the head seems kinda gnarly too....splatter...
and are you saying alfalfa pellets work the same as the manure? May be similar NPK, but theres a LOT more than that to it, so I kinda disagree with that, if that's what you are saying

What im saying is inside a bag of alfalfa meal (Organically done a michigan product) I found a rabbit pellet just like what you feed the rabbit.
