Roots growth issues +REPz

Well this plant has been throwing roots out the bottom of this net pot for awhile now but they don't get longer than 1/4" down from the net pot.
The tips of the roots turn brown/black and stop growing outward. then new healthy roots will try and grow out and the same thing happens to them

pants are about a month old
watered 1 minute every 3 hours (drip)
using techniflora starter kit veg mix
ph is 5.8-6.1 and consistent
temps never reach above 85F

leaves are healthy and plant growth is as fast as its ever been.

this pick is a little old, this plant is now about 7" tall with many more short brown-tipped roots.

i'm having same prob in ebb/flow. no one has answered since I posted this afternoon. I'll keep you informed if anything comes thru please do same. peace

could the roots be getting light?...they dont like light!

i would bet that they are getting some sort of light on them. roots need a dark place to grow properly. make sure your roots are 100% sealed in your grow medium (soil, hydro, aero). root rot and root diease can start easy

I'll make sure I dont have any light as well, that could be the issue here.
