I’m growing in coco in fabric pots placed in milk crates to add a space between the pot and tray to catch run off . Roots are starting to grow through the pot into the tray will this cause problems ?

Not really a problem.
What your plant is going to experience from now on is "air pruning", where the exterior roots grow thru the pot and wither, while the main root mass bulks up.
Just make sure the pot's don't dry out, all will be good.

I’m having the same issue with my 3gallon smart pots. I’ve read thats its fine and its meant to do that. I’m vegging clones (wk 3 of veg out of the 5wks i’ve planned). Just confused as to whether I can flower in the 3gallon if I already have roots exposed?
