I just ordered some of the 6" RootMakers pots. Kinda pricey but they sound like they are worth the extra bucks.
What do you "Pros" think about them?

Lol not a "pro", but air pruning has it's advantages. I do not use them, as I'm not hurting on space or time - perpetual setup, but the idea sounds good. Promote new root growth by "pruning" the existing roots...

I run the 1 gallon squares in veg and i can root (geddit) for these pots.

They air prune well but more crucially they inhibit root circling and force the root ball into more lateral growth. It is noticeably thicker and more sturdy and at transplant I have a solid root mass.

FWIW I also have a cheap knockoff via my hydro store listed as 'anti spiral pot' for less than a buck each. Doesn't have the air pruning holes but that ain't anything a hot soldering iron can't punch in.
