Rooting powder, cloning gel, water

Well? Which do folks think works best?

Tomorrow I shall be trying both as well as dipping the clones in gel and then in rooting powder to see which roots the quickest. In addition I am thinking of doing plain water, but the water around here is so hard it can break bones. If I do water by itself I may use distilled/purified.

get a halloween mister and make or buy an aero cloner from it. they will/can root in a week, thats in root riot cubes and no gel or powder or anything

Most rooting products just use IBA in different amounts. The cheap MiracleGro is just as effective as the more expensive cannabis grower targeted products. I've used honey in both soil and coco with great results. I've also just stuck cuttings in straight coco with nothing and have had roots in under 10 days.

I've never used anything other than water. I've also never cared how long it took them to root, so I don't know if it's slower or not. I used to use rockwool macro plugs, but then I switched to Root Riot plugs and will probably use them from here on out.

I have been binge-reading the cloning threads and it is like a three-way tie. I saw one post where the grower said they dipped the cutting in gel and then in powder. I thought I would ask to see what is the "majority" cloning method around here. When am I not high?

Forgot to add, I am using Oasis foam cubes. I use them for germination but I wanted to do a clone comparison experiment based on what I have read here. I have never used rockwool. A whole lot of the cloning threads recommend Root Riot, so I want to check out that as well.

Ehhh...im apprehensive to definitively say either way oill, honey and cinnamon are not bro science is really what my point is.
And since everyone is getting in on this i get a turn too right?
I use aloe vera plant cuttings.
Big plant makes my pups, then transplant pups and hack those to pieces when i need a clone. Then that tip gets jammed in some dirt to maybe root itself and give me a new plant...bout an 80% success on that...so far 100% success on clones rooting.

Double dipping works well (gel then powder). Take nice big clones, one of the big mistakes people make is to take dinky clones with toothpick stems. A thicker stem has more surface area to root. I put my dipped clones into root riots, then into a tall dome. Try misting just the dome and not the plant itself. Also, be sure to soak the root riots/rapid rooters in some mild nutrient solution or seaweed extract, ph'd to 6-6.5. You can trim the big leaves, and make sure the clones don't touch each other or the dome. Keep it moist like a wrung out sponge. Mild light, like t5s is best-too much light is bad. Keep around 80 degrees, 24/7. People who fail at cloning usually do one of those things wrong. Once you get them all right, you'll get a 100% success rate.

I did a rooting powder vs. honey vs. nothing in k-cups with coco and perlite, all the rooted within 10 days.

BIG props. This is one error I have previously made because I wasn't aware that the cuttings I was taking were too thin. Props for the other tips as well.

Ive found the moisture in rockwool alone is enough to keep humidity right. No need to spray plants or the dome.

I've left cuttings sitting in water and forgot about them, found them a week later, and 5 of 6 had roots on their own. The point being, you don't really have to do much to get them to root, you don't need a complicated ritual, just clean conditions and the right RH level.

@Nixs @Johiem Two thumbs up for honey. I was aware that folks use aloe and molasses, but I have been looking up honey since you posted and was surprised at how common it is. My taste buds have a hard-on for honey, and my clones liking it would be awesome.
