Root stimulators, worth it?

Does root stimulator/booster work or has anyone actually noticed any difference between using it or not?

Same. I used to use it every time when moving my clones into dirt. Ran out, and haven't noticed any difference, except my wallet's a little heavier.

Experts estimate that a tablespoon of forest soil contains 6 billion microorganisms consisting of 75,000 species of bacteria, 25,000 species of fungi, 1,000 species of protozoa, and 100 species of nematodes.

5 steps in the woods would probably do the same thing as the bag from the hydro store

Years ago when the interwebs were new I was heavily into tropical fish . I'd be on the old forums telling people to just dump a few spoonfuls of garden dirt into their filter and run the tank empty for a couple weeks to get the bacterial cycle going . No fancy boosters . Some learned , some spent money on snake oil .

Mushroom compost is cheap at Lowes and it increases mycorrhizal fungi in the soil, havent noticed any real difference since switching from granular Mycos to mushroom compost. Since using mushroom compost in my mix Ive noticed less micro deficiencies as well. I use 20 % mushroom compost.

Cool idea to just add little bit of dirt to fish tanks to innoculate with. Wouldn't you wanna tea bag it at least?
Worry about parasites in the soil, especially with lungs aquatic animals?

My turtle aquarium has been crystal clear for years, and hasn't broke the cycle since I moved it last time. I'm careful about rinsing out all the filter medias with the same water, as to not wash away or dry out the colony. Its been awhile, but I kid you guys not, the fastest I've ever rooted cuttings was placing them in the basking area above the tank, down through the platform drainage holes, so the end of the cutting is hovering right over the spray bar coming from the pump. Right over the water level, where it splashes with lots of DO bubbles. Just like a DWC cloner, but organic/aquaponic style. My turtle would keep scratching at the ends of the cuttings (I though about adding a protective cage, and keep using the tank as my main propagation center at the time, lol) and trying to eat the root nubs, and I would just let him. He would swim past them to scratch his shell and little turtle butt. You would think its bad for them, but it actually accelerates rooting by like 5 days for some reason! Like, 3 days of being shredded at and you have roots! They were exposed only to a halogen, and also a concentrated UVB light btw, which is supposedly the worst lighting possible, so they say..

My best grows were without in coco/perlite with MaxiBloom 1-part, Armor Si (Potassium Silicate) and RO filtered water. 6.0-6.2 pH and allow decent runoff start to finish from each plant every feeding, every day.

Armor si is just my pH UP, not sure if the silica does anything either. A lot of those add-ons are a waste of your time and money.

Initial thoughts off the top of my head.. The plant regulates the root growth in a proportional way.
But, I just remembered there's a great video on YouTube of some Dutch??? plant scientists doing experiments using tomatoes... oh here it is... Youtube channel And they clearly showed how much better the myco enhanced soil was than regular.

No beneficial bacterias or teas used and this grow yielded me around 1.3 GPW (Grams Per Watt of light) of dry trimmed flowers.
RO Filtered Water
+0.2 EC Armor Si or ~5 ml/gal
+2.0 EC MaxiBloom or ~8 grams/gal
6.0-6.2 pH
