Root Question

I have my plant in a gallon pot and the plant is only 5 inches tall. i looked through the holes in the bottom of the pot and noticed a root already showing. Wont my growth of my plant be stunned if i do not put it in a bigger pot? I also read that you need a gallon per every foot of plant. I guess my plants roots are just extra long? Any help would be appreciated.

Nice plant man. Good job! What strain is that?
To answer your question... yes and no. The growth wont be stunned, but it will stop growing at a certain size if you keep it in a smaller pot. Just because you see roots in the bottom does not mean it is root-bound. It will still grow for a while.... trust me. You have a while before you need to transplant, but transplanting early wont hurt anything.
Good luck man ask any other questions you have.

it will still grow, but just not real tall. maybe about 3 1/2 to 4 ft tall when finished pending on how long you veg for.

You can leave a plant in a 1 gallon pot for a year and it will stay the same size.
Then you can transplant it into a bigger pot and watch it start growing again. Pretty cool actually

and to answer the question of what strain it is. I got it out of a bag called alpine express and planted it. It was a very good smoke and gave me a very different kind of high. Anyone ever heard of it?

My only advice would be do not water before you transplant! The soil gets moist and falls apart. Wait for the soil to dry out, transplant, then water the hell out of it!
Good Luck!
