Root length germination question.

Right now I have a seed in germination...I have let it go for about a week now (ill explain why in a second) and the root is maybe over an inch long. Will this cause problems when I plant it?

I have family coming in tomorrow and didn't want to start her until they came over/left. I grow in a spare bedroom and didn't want them to see anything.

EDIT: I just looked at it and the shell fell off.... The little leave things don't look to bad..:/

Just ensure it don't dry out keep the root out of direct light, wrap in in a damp kitchen towel, give light if you can to the cotyledons

Awesome, Yeah that's what im doing. I have it in a wet paper towel now, in a dresser drawer.

How can I give the cotyledons light without giving the roots light? I cant plant her till lateeee tomorrow.

well thats a hassle lol....the cotyledons will be looking for light, no matter how they get it.....im kinda drunk/high right now, but i would take a BLACK strip of garbage bag/anything....cover the roots, but expose the cotyledons to a minimal light source, maybe even in a dresser drawer....but get them to soil or pellets ASAP!!!!! happy growing
