Root growing UP?

I'm just starting my latest grow. I got my seeds from Sannies, and germinated three of them. Instead of using rockwool cubes as I've done in the past, I went with the paper towel method. All three popped, and placed into soil (added Pearlite). One is vigorous, another less so, but on the third one, the root broke the surface, not the stem. It took a day or so to be sure what had happened, but with a magnifier, I could see little tendrils of root hairs sticking out. The stem looks like it's under the surface, but I didn't want to go disturbing the soil.

I carefully placed a few grains of soil around and above it to block any light, and put it back under the dome. Should I just wait and see for now?

I am sure its to late now.... but you should have tried to pack dirt around the root, flip it into a new pot root facing down then gentle bush the dirt of the baby plat trying to break the leaves or root stem.
