Root Discoloration

Hello all,

I am a complete beginner to growing anything and started out with just an Aerogarden grow system and it got me all excited for other things. I have now switched to a DWC system with commercial air pump and 2" round stones in each reservoir that approx. holds 3 gallons of water. I am using Dyno-Grow 7-9-5 liquid plant food and keeping my PH between 5.8 - 6.2. The plants have great air flow and are under a Maxsisun PB1500 approx. 16 inches away from the plants. My problem is that I noticed a few issues the other day where my roots started to get a brownish discoloration to them. I also noticed when I went to do a res change that there was a ton of floating brown particles all over the air stone and reservoir. I Took the plants and washed the roots off with a gentle massage and put them into clean reservoirs with 2 caps of H202 and no nutrients. I did not PH the water either. Could this be an issue with like root rot or ??? here are a few pics.

What's the temp of your res?
You should always pH your water/nutes in DWC particularly. your going to more than likely have lockout issues real quick .i suggest do a res change as soon as possible and pH that shit to 5.5-5.8.
H202 will def help with roots

Does Hydoguard have the ability to whiten these roots back up? Should I concern myself with it if they do not?
