Root damage during flowering.

Hi. I'm a newbie at growing. I noticed a 3 foot tall beauty randomly growing outside of the building where I live. One of the million seeds I threw out of my balcony matured into a full fledged plant. It's in the early stages of flowering. So I didn't want to leave this plant outside my building as I was afraid someone might notice it and try to cut it off (haters) or steal it(fellow stoners) so I decided to transplant it myself. As iv mentioned I'm a newbie and while trying to uproot it from the ground I ended up tearing some of the roots. Not sure how much as I was being shady and doing this at night. Although I didn't waste any time to repot it. Its now reported with quality soil and softly packed. It's been 24 hours since transplant and the plant looks visibly the same(slightly droopy) . What should I do now? How do I know the plant is alright or damaged and how soon will it show signs and what kind of signs should I be looking for and what should I do next? Please help
