Root Bound

Hey folks. My tomatoes are root bound. I KNOW they are, it's time to transplant but I only have perlite and Peat Moss until two days from now. I don't want the symptoms to get any worse and my friend suggested putting my beautiful tomatoes just in some Peat Moss and Perlite mix but I'm worried the inconsistensies would cause problems with water penetration, drainage, what have you. My initial reaction is to wait.

Do I wait a couple days or do I take emergency action? Thanks in advance!

Awesome. I'll wait. My friend was just panicking. They're not even done vegging. 3 weeks into it and they're already about 2 feet tall. Some are still in the 3 QT pots but most are in 7 Qts. They're 9 weekers too. First grow, I'm pretty proud of these little ladies so far. Fought off some spider mites with Neem Oil and Pyrethrum, and the tomatoes aren't even slowing down. Why doesn't everybody grow their own tomatoes? And KidneyStoner, I might put up some pics later, I'm just new so a little overly cautious.
