Root Bound?

I have a plant that is about a month and a half old . its a bout 9 inches tall and has been put into 12/12 about a week ago. at the top of the soil is a root showing that is growing right from the main stem is this plant root bound? I think the pot i have it in is like a six inch pot? im not sure but i barely have any space and its the biggest pot i could fit in the grow box. This is just a fictional story that i made up. :mrgreen:

I can always see some feeder roots at the top...and I'm in some big ass pots...no way my babies are rootbound. Also...the soil always gets a little compacted or washes away...I keep a bag of soil in my room so I can add more to the tops as I go.

Your plant is probably fine - I mean, if that's the biggest pot you can fit in there...seems like that's the pot you're using, right?

Nice thanks for the replys. Ya im gonna add some more soil to the top. Im gonna post up some pics as soon as i can find my usb cable. This is my first grow and i could use all the advice i can get. It really started as just messn around and it just took off. Now im lovin it. its such a beautiful thing seein these little girls(im preyin) growin up to be women.
