root bonded?

if a plant in is a pot 6*6 in a flood and drain systems.... can the plant get root boned like soil plants? in a pot like this

and will they grow bigger if there in a bigger pot or doesnt that matter in a hydro system?

that's a net pot. The roots will grow out of that pot and down into the reservoir. so.. no, the roots will not become root bound.
