Root aphids. Info and help please

So I acquired root aphids. Seems all info on the internet is the same. Need help

Merrit75 will kill them

Bayer Complete @ 1ml per gallon for 3-5 days.

Ok and have you guys had experience or is this just something you read. Currently doing an azamax soak then going to do a insecticide soak next week. Flush a few days later and the do some nematodes also getting lady bugs soon. Brought the fuckers home from work.... crazy how they made it home but the spider mites dont

These contain imidacloprid. This systemic (spreads through out the plant to all parts) is the cause of colony collapse in Bee's.

I've dealt with this problem directly with Bayer and they have developed Ultor and Movento to deal directly with root aphids.

RA's are hard to get rid of because that they lay eggs all over the place.....once you've started the killing by your choice of methods....Be SURE you sanitize the whole grow! I mean everything on every surface and don't for get the places you don't see often - like UNDER things!

Ya I figure the lady bugs are a good for of clean up that with some spray...even azamax should know.em.back a little bit. I did 5 min soaks will try Bayer next

Just got off the phone w/local USDA.....It is off shelves awaiting the 10 year full approval vote. The last filing by Bayer didn't fit the filing requirements and the new paperwork has not arrived yet....SO,,,,,,( I was told it is around in the EU ).

Back to the 3 step method.....
Imid - I have not tried it. Others say it worked after several use's. I suspect reinfestation due to the eggs hatching. These little bastards are HARD to kill off.
Orthene, the last thing on the 3 step works to knock them down real hard. But the guy who had all the trouble kept getting them back...He's not known to be a good "clean" grower and stated he had to sanitize yet.....Nuff said there!

Back when I got them in my test grow......The only thing that worked - completely, was to do the whole 3 step and clean the hell out of the grow!

So then - 3 step.......and CLEAN the whole grow, everything! Under, over, around, behind, etc, etc.

From what I've read about that....they don't totally get rid of them.....

Tossing and starting over ,, Ok, but by now you have eggs that will hatch in your grow and bingo, there back.

So, then.....Best thing as I see it is to stay the course and kill them off.....Clean the grow.....still gone? = You win..

Ladybugs don't eat RA's......

Look, how about you Google Root Aphid control.....READ lots of the pages and see what I mean.....

In soil I would drop the 1st step and go right to step 2&3 and do them in detail !! Any Az mix as a root drench is HARD on the plant, you can do it, but be careful or skip to 2&3 like I said.

Ive read literally everything I can already find. Yes ladybugs do eat root aphids because they dont exist only in soil. They are an aphid I have seen with my own eyes them eat aphids... also. Also trying to fix this in a warehouse with a couple thousand plants . This is a big scale and at home too

So what??,is the op growing outdoors?? I have used it indoors and it works great.......I had a full infestation with winged adults........bayer killed everything in 2 weeks........I would never use it on a plant deep in flower but other than that it is a viable inexpensive option.

then there are no bees to worry about............Bayer works......try it if you want to get rid of root aphids.......Idk how much experience Dr. Who has with them but compared to other pest they are relatively easy to get rid of......Bayer is a systemic but as long as your not too far into flower any residuals should be gone by the end of flower.

Experience. It works, mainly because of the b-cyfluthrin. The imid takes time to be absorbed by the plant. Short-term use of the product should be no problem and bees are not a concern here.

I.did.my azamax soak for.10.min.per plant. When I watered last night didn't see any crawlers. Next week.I will do another 10 min soak

Root aphids will turn into broad mites if you don't kill them all. Bees will kill root aphids if they can get into the ground to get at them. I use pixie dust and it works pretty good.
