I think you nailed it in your first post. Vent that shit into the attic!!!

P.S. Lots of cheap Do It Yourself "Activated Carbon" filters that work great for small ops.

Have you been reading? we all have to leave the door open. Carbon fiters aren't gonna matter if we have to leave the door open. lol

I just bought an ozone generator, the OZN-1. It works really well, I have to open the door to my closet as well so I decided to buy this instead of a carbon filter. My plants don't smell too strong, but I figured it was a good investment for future grows. I fried some bacon and ran this thing and there was no smell, it's pretty cool how well it works.

With the ozone generators you have dust all over the place, I used to use one, but got tired of dusting all the time,
-I heard it takes some of the flavor out of the weed if you used it in the drying room, but I don't think it makes any sense, anyone else hear of this or can I just verify that it's bullshit.

I haven't noticed any extra dust, but then again I'm not the cleanest person in the world! Why would it create extra dust?

so is there anything that we can use to kill the smell if we leave the door open? Like an oader eater or somthing?

I don't understand why you would put a 600w in a closet with not vent ? Lights produce heat weather its HPS, CFL or T5. You have to have some way of moving the air.

Here is my suggestion. Cooltube it! either get a cooltube or make one. leave one end open. Then use vent hosing on the otherside and run it out the closet. Of course you will need a good fan sucking the air out through the vent hose. This will reduce heat.

oh yeah ona es da shit mang. I have my 600w dumping into a crawlspace and I would need a ton of ona for that so I just use a scrubber but for my space..a jar of ona on my nutes shelf. can smell really anything less you get your face in the gals. As for the heat problem im currently running a 600w in a 5ft by 5ft by 2.5 ft deep closet. I have my 600w cooltubed plus a huge floor fan to push out the hot air and stimulate my gals, still hot as fuck. Luckily i was cleaning out an old house and there was a blue squirell cage fan sitting there running (I guess to circulate the air in this dank ass house) anyway this thing is as big as a stack of 4 high school text books but it fucking ripsss. I'll look more into it but this fan puts off icey cold air, and when its 100 out you dont get icey cold air outta no fan. Well I was running my floor fan full blast (during lights on) to keep it in the mid eighties to ninties..hot as a bitch..especially when your thermostat is reading 73. anyway I "borrowed" this blue little wonder fan drilled it to the wall and Im using that as supplementary exhaust. Now instead of keeping my space open all the time, I just slide the door a crack when the light flips on and hit the switch for my lil baby blue. Anyway my space is consistantly 76degrees, its a beauty and growth is going crazy with the comfy temps. Soil dries out less. What im gettin at is check your exhaust, 2:1 exhaust to intake ratio is probably best..and after visiting the pawn shop today..dude they gotta lot of squirell cage fans, I always see em on the net n shit for sooo much. But at my pawn shop they got fatty industrial squirell cages for 55bucks. They got the kind a closet grower would appreciate for around 20 bucks (and god its a 20 well spent). Down here at the pawn shop...

yeah like theo said its all about the cooltube, there are a lot of forced air hoods out there..but not a lot that set up that easy and you can touch after your 600w MH has been running for a month straight. Its a bit more of an investment, the cooltube and an inline fan for it, but well well worth it. I think those are two things that you just gotta have if your running a 600w in a closet..peace!

:dunce: My bad, I was thinking of the ionizer that made all the dust :dunce:

It makes dirt particles in the air heavy and they fall.

Still anyone hear of ozone generators making the weed lose taste? Or is it myth?

If nobody knows, next time you harvest, ganjababy, wanna do an experiment?
