Room or Tent

Just getting back into growing after about 35 years to experiment with some medicinal varieties where I will only have 2 or 3 girls at a time. My question is, aside from portability, are there any advantages to using a tent versus having a permanent closet setup?

Tent is movable and easier to dail in the environment you need
If you're only growing a few at a time, tent all the way.
You'd still need to manufacture some type of barrier around your plant so light doesn't have the ability to escape if you went the whole room way. Unless you're lighting the whole room which would require mass lighting
There's benefits to each way (tent/open room)

Just noticed you said closet.. if you have good ventilation and decent room.. figure out the sq feet and choose your lights based off that.
Plenty people grow in closets.
Myself included (closet with tent)

I have a 2ft by 4 ft T5 tent I realty like. Ialso have a 2ft by 2ft closet lined with mylar.I use for test grows. both work well

Unless you're needing it really hide it from somebody I don't see why somebody would want a tent

I imagine you're already cooling your house.

It's hard to keep a small box from getting too hot with a heater in it.

a little heater in the big room ain't no big deal

I vote closet. My 4x4x8 tent was becoming a trip and fall hazard. I'm an old.

Both, you need at least two rooms to experiment with.

Thanks for the replies! I'm planning on building that closet space for now, and may add a tent in the future for more space if I need it.
