You are right, but the cause of this is the belief that we need someone to run our lives. The moment we start rejecting this crazy notion, is the moment we can all be free.

I didn't have a choice when I was sent to jail. I should NEVER have gone to jail in the first place. A kinder gentler massa may suit you, not me.

Not quite. I have the NATURAL RIGHT to run my own life, but not to run other peoples lives. The ABILITY to run my own life has been stolen, but that doesn't mean the NATURAL RIGHT
ceases to exist. I am fully aware of how lfe changing events can happen via the freedom grabbers....trust me.

We do need someone to run our lives. We need someone to limit our freedoms to options and the notion of "free choice" and tell us what to think. I did some comparison shopping between MSNBC and FOX last night - I wanted to see FOX's coverage of the Romney gaffes - they had a crawl on it, that's it. Millions of people who only watch FOX will have a more distorted view of the world than if they watched MSNBC and those millions are going to Fox in order to be told what to think.

Millions believe the Rommey campaign that snipps whole sentences out of Obama's speeches in order to have him say things he never said.

We like Mcdonalds because it limits us to only a few options while claiming it is our American right to free "choice". Americans like those limits all the while being told that the limits are really empowering and that they are entitled to those options because they are Americans forgodsake.

Best you move to another country then Rob, because you are going to have to figure out which is the best "massa" here or have that massa chosen for you.

I will take the massa who at least wants to seem like he understands me. The other guy is more interested in another class of people, the ones who already own most everything anyway.

Exactly what good is a right that cannot be defended? How does your "natural right" stack up against governmental force Rob? I know that is your issue but you are having trouble with the reality of it all. Unless you can actually exert that natural right - it isn't much of a right at all, so best make do with the rights you do have.
