Rockwool Watering Question? Kinda dumb.

My rockwool cubes are wet to touch but have drank all the water in the tray. I'm assuming I just water when dry, should I wait to water them until the cubes feel more dry and less heavy?

How often are they drying?
This is their first time "drying" I overwatered in the beginning and they have managed to use that water for the first 6 days.
Going on 7 now and they are starting dry up. Should I wait till they are fully dry or water them while they are still damp.

When I was hand watering rockwool prior to running the hydro system I would water once per day.

Rockwool is hydro,I wouldn't let the cube dry out.Is this big cubes or clones or what?

Seedlings, I have them in rockwool before transplanting to dwc system. The wool is starting to dry out and I believe its time to water them. Im wondering whether or not I should just add water to the tray and have them absorb it from the bottom or water the cubes themselves.

Should I just add water to the bottom of the tray? As opposed to watering the cubes directly?

I would hand water from the top allowing the cube to suck down the water and allowing runoff out of the bottom.

this does depend on the size of your plant though.

If you just dip a small corner of the cube in water it wicks incredibly fast.Easy to over soak them.Go by weight if still heavy check tomorrow.

They are definitely still retaining some water, however I dont want them to dry out. You think I should dip a corner of the block in water? For how long?

As roots come out youll want water in the groves of the tray, but not right up touching the rockwool. You can cover the cube and shade roots with some panda film or whatever.

You can spray the underside with a mister, this way they get just enough.Dipping for just a second and see, they hold a lot of water careful.

They are currently In the room, I just removed the humidity dome today actually. They are already on a 16/8 light cycle.

I don’t feel like reading all this but, my best success with rock wool was just using a spray bottle for a couple sprays to keep damp, never had water drip out when flicked. You can weigh a dry one and a soaked one and see damp is. Don’t squeeze rock wool. I still do this for cuts.
