Rock Hard Buds At 6 Weeks Flowering?? Is This Normal? +Rep for all help

Well this is my third and so far my most successful grow. I have kept my lights closer used molasses and used a new bloom maximizer Hydroplex. I am 6 weeks in flower and I noticed my calyxs are starting to swell up nicely and the buds are covered in frostiness. The only wierd thing is usually my buds are bouncy when I squeeze them to get a sniff, this time when I squeeze them they are hard like a rock its hard to explain. Is this normal and what ppl are talking about when they say buds are dense? I'm just worried as I'm a pretty big newb and want this grow to go good for once as all the others have me so many issues. Here's a pic of the plant and a bud at 6 weeks today.

you shouldnt really ever be "squeezing" buds unless you have like fields of it and dont care about a few plants but when you getting a whiff your crushing all those beautiful frosty trichomes and there releasing terpenoids they are responsible for the smell....anyway when you manhandle your buds you get an inferior product ive seen them side by side there is a big difference your indoor ends up looking like outdoor and thats never good protect those babys from hands and the elements and be rewarded in bag appeal!!

and congrats on a succesful grow! that plants lookin pretty tasty.

Strain is Super Skunk by Nirvana, the grow is the link in my signature. I think they atleast have 2 weeks to go till they are done as its a 8-10 week strain. Thanks much for the compliment brotha.

I know what youre saying but I only squeezed one bud to get a whiff I don't go around molesting all my buds lol. This strain is pretty hashy tasting but these will be more mature than my last grow so not sure their specific taste yet, they are def more skunky this round and its a clone of the same plant from last grow.

I wanna seriously stress the increased chance of bud rot and mold. Those look ultra healthy at the moment, but just from personal experience, dense bud makes it very hard to dry your product properly and you must take extra care during the drying/curings stages to not let that happen, because its so dense you wont be able to see inside the buds and thats a hassle.

Thanks much man!! Yeah I have a drying room with indirect oscillating fans,I actually have the drying and curing down better than reading what my plant needs lol. I will dry for 5 days till stem almost snaps pop into jars and burp and readjust buds many times a day for bout two weeks. I actually pulled at 6 1/2 weeks last time and after a week cure it was DANK!! Now I just gotta learn to read what nutes my plant needs instead of under feeding her and nuking her lol.

Looks awesome... You want that dense-ness to the nuggs... keep doing whatever you're doing.
Whats your set-up?
My setup is FFOF soil, botanicare pro nutes,2 600 watt lights open reflector for now till I can get air cooled housings. I run MH for first two weeks of flowering than hps. I'm really hoping to get the hang of reading my plants as I always either under or over feed lol.

It's a good thing - particularly when they look that damn fine. My two hybrid leaning sugar punches are just about at week 6 and they already have dense buds too (don't looks as nicely ripe as yours though).

Thanks much!! I think they look so ripe because they are leaning towards that afghan side and this pheno is a super fast finisher plus its a clone so it started to flower with 3 days of 12/12.
