I burnt the crap out of mine using 1/2 teaspoon, not table spoon using grow big. Be prepared to possibly have to flush! In may be because there are nutes already in my soil but not much at all. I ended up losing 80% of my fan leaves but thank god they are recovered now. In the future I will be using 1/4 teaspoon for the first feeding and maybe even waiting an extra week. I hope you don't have the luck I've had!

I'm subbed, I have a set of Blackstar 240's and am loving them.

Looking good Riverside, here's an example of the results I see with one 240w Blackstar, Strain is G13 Labs Raw Diesel

LEDs are great if you use a very small space

Whoa, thanks for pointing that out. I did actually use only 1/2 TSP of Grow Big and a 1/2 TBSP of Big Bloom. Just flipped flopped them :P

Thanks! Your plants look incredible! I hope mine will be that dank and frosty. LEDs were my best option since my grow space was so small, the ventilation options were limited (noise mostly) and I wanted to keep my electric bill down as my place has shitty efficiency. Thought I'd invest in something new and see how it results. I'll probably add a 250W HPS to my next grow, which will be in a 3x3 tent. Already planning the next one, as you can see haha.

Day 25 - 9/7 - Veg Time: 25 days

Small update today. Snapped a photo of grapefruit only because she's looking really healthy now. I really wanted to show this:

Is that a gnat? At first I thought it was an aphid, but those are white. This thing doesn't fly though. Thats the only one I've seen so far. He was chilling down at the bottom of the pot of one of the bag seeds. I have a paper towel and thin layer of perilite at the bottom of my pots; hopefully enough to deter it from crawling in through the bottom, but that doesn't mean the top is safe. I'm looking around to try and ID it.

Day 29 - 9/11 - Veg Time: 28 days

A solid 4 weeks from seed to end of veg put grapefruit at about 9" yesterday so I figured now is the time to flower. Only around 24" of vertical grow space anyway and she is really starting to stretch. She has since grown about another inch since this photo was taken yesterday, and both of the bagseeds are about an inch taller than pictured.

be careful of those gnats, once they get a good breeding rate and some momentum they can be abundant in number very quickly... If they become a problem or you see larvae coming to the surface after you water the plants, find something with neem oil in it; spray on soil surface and then water to evenly distribute it throughout the medium. (you can repeatt this until your satisfied but usually 1 or 2 good applications works for me). Next, get some perlite and cover the top layer with it; cutting off their breeding grounds should keep them from coming back and save your roots from those larvae, works for me eveyrtime.
g'luc growing...

Also, here's a link to assist you, hope it helps you as much as it does me.

Thanks for the advice; I think it was just a short incident as they're not around anymore. But I started washing soda and beer cans for a few weeks and they went away, so luckily that was probably their breeding ground. They just wanted to vacation in the cabinet.

Day 34 - 9/16 - Veg Time: 28 days - Flower Time 6 days

Just a pic update.

Hey man! Just wanted to say I've been watching your grow and the vegging looked great. Are they any updates for pics as far as flowering? Maybe I'm too impatient ...

Yes there are! Was busy last week or so and thought weekly updates are a bit more interesting at this point. Anyway, lots of new growth since last time!

Day 44 - 9/26 - Veg Time: 28 days - Flower Time 16 days

So first thing I found out when I got back from a visit with my gf this weekend was that BS1 turned out to be a male. Interesting, because when I left 3 days before, he showed no signs of sex, and then after that, had a ton of balls. Anyway, he was swiftly cut and here's his last photo:

The other two are definitely female and started budding about 4 days ago. The long weekend didn't let me water them, so they looked like this when I got back yesterday:

And after a prompt watering last night, they bounced back to this:

Pictures without LEDs on next time; messed up the flash on my phone with a firmware mishap and don't have time to fix it.

Those look great! I'm not sure if I read correctly but are you planning on adding warm cfls at the end of the flowering period, or are you going to LED it straight through? LEDs are definitely the future...

Thanks! I haven't said anything about it, but I have thought about doing that. I'm a bit out of room and over budget as is, so I'm just going to see what LEDs alone will do. I'm definitely a fan of LEDs though. I have never used HPSs so I cannot compare to them, but for my application where I need low heat output and consequently quiet fans, LEDs are where it's at.

Day 47 - 9/29 - Veg Time: 28 days - Flower Time 19 days

Quick pic update with some better pictures. GF is better girl of the two, with much more developed buds than BS2. BS2's cola's are just starting to bloom, but probably won't show anything like GF until a few more days. Fed with 1 TSP Tiger Bloom, 1/2 TBSP Big Bloom and 1/2 TBSP molasses to a half gal of distilled water. No signs of nute burn yet, but I do a feed-water-water schedule, seems to keep burn from happening even when using pretty high nute levels.

Day 62 - 10/14 - Veg Time: 28 days - Flower Time 34 days
End of week 4 update. Just cruisin along at this point. GF is looking great and BS2 is finally catching up. They're a bit over-nuted at the moment, so I've been flushing them lately. Other than that, girls are great!

Some picks of the under growth. Notice the complete lack-thereof from GF and the bushyness of BS2.

Day 78 - 10/30 - Veg Time: 28 days - Flower Time 50 days

I'm back, with more pictures. GF is starting to get brown pistils and BS2 making a rediculous amount of budsites, as well as a diploid (?) bud (see last pic). I'll bet GF can be harvested in about 2 weeks; BS2 looks like it has at least 4 weeks to go. It's still making new calyxs on its main colas and they're still very white and fluffy. The yield on this one should be much better than GF, for sure. I have no idea what is causing the curled, discolored leaves on BS2. The temps are fine: lows 70s 90% of the time and sometimes they will dip to the high 60's at night. Humidity is a bit high, around 45-53%, but probably not high enough to cause any worry as the ventilation is very good in my box and not bad enough for me to go out and buy a dehumidifier yet.
