ive been here for awhile and ive always notice some noob asking a question and people talking shit to them cause they cant believe there doing that... or youll get smart ass remarks i see that bs all the time.. this site is dying like ive seen fcking punk scene's die.. its all about the community acting together and not against each other if your not doing that its doomed...
for reals though RIU is one of the first sites of actuaaly liked and i was on tons before i found this one lots of good people on here getting fcked by the elite btchs..

Yea, I can understand that, especialy the way people doing things getting shot down.

I find it to be a learning experience and hell if we never try anything new or think outside the box we never will move forward in hydroponics.

If you're talking about something that happened in chat, keep in mind that there's no questions allowed in there and noobs come in all day long with the attitude that we owe them nollij and that research and reading just takes too much time. Most of the questions asked on this site have already been answered if you take the time to look it up.

Trying to get a multitude of personalities all bunched together has always amazed me.
It's like getting 20 into an elevator, crowded and you know personalities are going to conflict.
Not everyone is going to like each other.

I know just going to family gatherings, everyone has their opinions, whether good or bad.

But don't be too frustrated Wretched, we're reading the same posts you are.
A few months ago when I first checked out RIU, members were going back and forth like 3rd graders.
I didn't think this was the place for me, so I walked away.
I'm a very soft talker and not into conflict.
Something made me come back and I'm glad I did, met some really awesome people!
I appreciate their friendship very much and look forward to reading their posts.

I dont think there is a problem at all, people are here to help people that want to help themselves. To many people come on here asking the same stupid, basic question, all they have to do is search or read the faq. People need to help themselves before they rely on other people for help. To many people whine also, its a website, its the internet, get over it.

Agreed... this site is filled with all the info you would really need, whether you're an expert or not... if someone doesn't take the time to read through newbie central or search their question first, it's their own fault when an elite member might be a little aggitated having seen those questions hundereds of times before... *shrugs*.. just my two sense.. i'm fuckin blzed

It's the same crap that has been going as long as I can remember.
People that aren't smart enough to give good adivice usually crack jokes, make fun of, or make silly remarks.
It'll never change.

Or it could also mean that most of the people on here are kids, (21 and under).
Kids that are noobies to the weed world.
So when they log onto this site they think they know everything.
Who knows....
IMO, most people on these forums are complete morons.

The only reason why I drop into this site once in awhile is because it entertains me for short while.

There is an increase in the amounts of (clearly) under age people joining this site. It usually happens around this time of year, every year but they tend to fade out or get banned reasonably quickly.

No matter what questions people ask I will always try and answer them, not with my own opinion (that's reserved for Toke n talk ;)) but with facts, this way it avoids any confrontation or mixed up information resulting in an argument about which is better etc.

There are times when everyone is doing a bit of research/reading up on something and one thing just doesn't make sense and we HAVE to ask someone even if it does sound like a silly question..that's what learning is all about!

There are those questions people have asked where you do think "does this person not have common sense?" But once you hang around here long enough you tend to notice which threads will contain such questions and end up not clicking on/opening them.

I have to agree a bit that some of the elites (as far as I've seen) do take their "elite badge" a bit too serious and tend to give nasty comments to newbies. It seems completely illogical to say something nasty to someone just because you don't like a question they have asked on a forum dedicated to the knowledge of growing cannabis.

Like everyone always says...If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. :)

i am by no means a "veteran" member to the site.. although i do post a lot...

i enjoy coming on here and helping out people... i answer a ton of questions.. and even made this https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/212352-all-new-growers-questions-tons.html to try to help even further....

as was said it does get old answering the same question over and over again... especially when you see the same thread topic 2 or 3 threads in a row...

it seems that there is a vast majority of new memebers who want their questions answered without doing any reading or research at all... "why is my plant yellowing"... "how do i hide a grow"... "whats my yield"... questions like these.. that appear over and over and over and over again... when simply typing any of these words into the search function would give you any answer you need... or checking one of the many threads like the one i linked too.. that contain many many answers.. but again, this means reading, and it seems that there are some people that just may have forgotten how to read since they graduated from high school.. assuming they are out of high school even.. or passed if they are out...

there are times when i flood the threads and try to answer a bunch of questions.. and theres times i get burnt out from typing the same things and hit toke and talk or other "non growing" threads... but for the most part there are plenty of people on here who are more than willing to answer anything you need to know if you just ask...

and for those who want to avoid criticism about the questions they ask PLEASE and i beg you PLEASE use some amount of common sense.... if your thread starts out "i have a friend that told me" then more than likely its not something you should ask because you already know the answer and that your friend was wrong.. or if you are asking about something like "will feeding your plant pop help them grow because of the sugar and co2"... things like that.. that just leave you open to ridicule... just a little common sense is all that most of us ask....

you know what is more annoying than ANYTHING? veteran members bitching about repeat questions. you know how many times i've heard veteran members bitch about repeat questions? about as many times as i've heard "what's my yield". at least the newbs have an excuse. :roll:

mods around here are out of control, wont mention any names but dont disagree with them, youll quickly be banned, kinda reminds me of icmag and res dog, u talk shit cus his seeds fucking suck and then you get banned for expressing your opinion...kinda like communist russia heh, its a growing site, you dont have to log on in the end, although it would be nice to get some appreciation, this site wouldnt be without community.
