Hi, I'd like to introduce myself really quick. I'm from just south of the border and it's long been a dream of mine to grow cannabis legally. I tried to move to Oregon with a friend a few years back and wel...long story short it just didn't pan out. Anyway, Now I have a son and I need to stay as close to home as possible. So I'm looking to join the MI club. I just received disability and I'll be moving as soon as my backpay comes in and using it to get set up. I don't know when that'll be because they're holding on some bureaucratic shit (Something about whether or not I do or have received SSI and how much they'll cut out of my benefits if I do...which I don't).
So I'm not a cardholder yet and my first check comes in at the end of june which will be used to Co-sign with some family I have up in Lansing in order to get some bills and an MI ID card to star the process off.
Given I've made it this far without any legal trouble I'm not trying to risk that and intend to keep 'clean' until my paperwork is in order and I want to play it by the book and get involved in the community to help out as much as possible. If you would have me I'd be interested in attending just to meet people who are good and know the system and could give me general advice on what living in MI is like. I haven't really picked a location yet and some advice from people in different parts of the state would really be helpful in that aspect too.
I know it's probably a little sketchy to invite someone who isn't a cardholder so I don't mind holding off and not partaking until my ship comes in as it were but I'd really like ot get involved and meet people rather than going in blind like I did when I tried to move to oregon. I'm a little paranoid and I'd much prefer to have real people I've met to turn to about grow problems than post shit online. I don't want any bud or clones or handouts though I'd really like someone I can call up for a few to start with once my paperwork is in order.
