We use a home version BUNN coffee maker. Get them at Home Hardware in Canada when on sale for $150 and it's money well spent. We never use anything but RO water in it and even after 5 years we have a pot of fresh brew in under 3 minutes. Get one of those and you'll never go back to those $30 POS gurgling 20 min f'ers.

Even cheaper right from BUNN in the US or Canada for $120. This is the one we have.

So … I went and bought the exact same coffee maker LOL. Mainly because it's $24. But also because just like meta said, now I have an extra carafe. Except the new coffeemaker didn't even come with the permanent stainless steel filter like the old one did. Cheap fucks.

Our coffemakers seem to be in cahoots. Mine died and I happily replaced it with this:

I'm in love so take that old coffemaker, no one liked you anyway!

What did that one set you back? Specify US or Can price please. I don't grok peso. ;)

Wouldn't fit in our little coffee corner. The BUNN just has an inch clearance.

Cool looking rig tho.

Way too expensive! I paid $359.00 for my Moccamaster.

I bought this as well.

I have the Stainless Steel (matches my appliances) and black Barazza. I think the Barazza elevated the coffee more than the upgraded coffee maker. Although I'm pretty happy with both.

I checked out the link for it and it's basically a snazzier and much more expensive machine that does the exact same thing mine does. I think I like the drip cone on ours better tho. When I drop the lid where the water goes in it has a valve to let the water run into the holding tank which pushes the hot water out so no pump in it either. As the water starts going into the basket I swing it back and forth slowly a couple times and give it a good shake to get the grounds evenly wet and that seems to get better extraction tho it does a good job on it's own. A guy I worked for had the same machine but the basket wouldn't move side to side so if you made a part pot it didn't do so good.

Either way both machines are far superior to the sub $50 POS ones most people use. We don't grind beans very often but I like to so might invest in a grinder like you got.
