RIP Ray Liotta

I know I'm a month late, can't believe I didn't hear about this one. I first saw him in Something Wild in the 80s, then Field of Dreams, before watching his amazing role as Henry Hill in Goodfellas. Amazing how he held his own with all those Scorsese regulars, that must have been daunting. He did a respectable job as Frank Sinatra in The Rat Pack. Such a great actor, and he was the movie star I was most often compared to regarding looks. Just 67, he died sleeping in his hotel room while shooting a movie in the Dominican Republic. Awesome way to go, we should all be so lucky. RIP, Ray. You rocked...

After college, Liotta moved to New York City. He got a job as a bartender at the Shubert Organization and landed an agent within six months. One of his earliest roles was as Joey Perrini on the soap opera Another World, on which he appeared from 1978 to 1981.
