Right After Cloning......

Hello everyone, I need a quick response today. I am going to practice cloning. Now my question is.....If the mother plant will be sleeping soon, after i cut the clone should i put them to sleep also or do they have to start there own lighting cycle? The mother plant will be going to sleep within 2 hours after i cut her upshoot. Also i have another question. I included a pic of a possible clone site and used a pack a cig for measurement. Would that be a healthy size for a clone?...i figure i dont like to waste anything and instead of loosing it to pruning i might as well use it. One more...is that an upshoot? I dont want to call it a "DSC03015.jpgsideway cola".

little small, but doable...I'd cut that right off at the stalk to use it :)

As far as lighting goes...you should be clones on 24/7 anyway...so fire it on up :D

Hey massah, Have you ever used this Root Riot? Just curious about it. How long do i keep it on 24/7? Can i save the cubes and packaged solution for future use since this is going to be a practice run? Oh that stem is 5 inches with hardly any thickness in the stem. I would guess scrapping it with a razor blade would be hard or should i still attempt it. also where should i scrap it? On the furthest buttom or at the top end of the 45 degree cut?DSC02911.jpg How long to vegbefore i can even consider on flowering it, most people say as soon as clones get roots but that twig is kinda small.
