hi all. I smoke, my wife doesn't and has never tried it. She's cool with me growing because she knows how it benefits me. She doesn't mind me smoking around her nor the smell of what I grow.......well, up till now. I'm about to harvest a few aliens and have been letting them finish outside. I just came inside after pulling a few dead fans away and when I got near my wife she said the smell gave her an instant migraine. She's not an overexaggerator so I gotta take her for what she says. My question is why? I've grown some really stinky stuff over the years and no complaints. Definitely way "danker" smells have crossed her nose lol..do any of you experience this?

I'm stumped. This is the second round of them since October. Normally female stuff doesn't mess with her in those ways. 10 yrs of marriage and lots of plants. This doesn't sound like too big a deal but she's pissed and in tears from the migraine.

Does she ever have sinus issues? Sinuses can cause some crushing pressure. She could be allergic to some of the terpenes on that strain.

Never had sinus issues .maybe terpenes but it didn't cause them last grow of the same strain. This round is a few beans found in the bottom buds from last grow. Maybe different pheno? They smell a lot fruitier than last.

If it is a possible allergy do a skin test.
Cut a leaf stem and dab a minuscule amount of plant ooze on a spot on her forearm and watch for a reaction.

Have you ever seen that film where this guy kills his wife for bitching about freakin migranes all the time and then he composts her remains and grows some crazy ass weed with the compost and like the cops can't convict him because the plants ate all the evidence?

Just saying that this stuff happens way more often than you think.......

Is this the first time having them finish outside? Reason I ask is because possibly she became used to the smell if you were growing indoor all these years. Now that its outdoors, shes may be more sensitive to it when you come in stinking like it?
