Rhode Island Dispensary's Hydroponic Bucket - HOWTO.

Supplies Needed:

General Hydroponics Farm Kit: GH4116
Hydrofarm 6" Wide Lip Bucket Basket: HG6RDBK
Airstone
Airpump
5 Gal Bucket.
5/8 Drill Bit.
3/16 Drill Bit.

Cost: < $50

Supplies Pictured:




Drill a hole (5/8's) on the bottom (this is the drain):

Install the grommet and drain hose :



Observe the ring:



Cut multiple times to ensure one does not cut too much!


Cut the net and install the Farm Kit and clear hose for the airstone:



Connect the clear airstone on the inside:




Connect the other end of the clear hose to the fixture:




Find the common point of the hose by stretching. Cut the hose and connect the two ends to the dual output airstone:



Notes:
1. The white line on the drainage hose is the fill line indicator.
2. Once one starts planting within the unit, no opening/closing of the bucket's lid should occur, light on the roots can cause problems.
3. One may add solution to the system via top bucket basket.

My bucket is 42$ the one you linked is 65$.

folks, it is just a shame that this man is out here with his non-extant knowledge of growing or anything else related to mmj, but he sure is making money off the credulous noobs who would pay for his advice as to how to best grow, or care for a loved one who is sick, or anything else for that matter... this dude is in it for the money... i say mmj should cost about 1 dollar an ounce... not 400 because it is "medicinal grade"... maybe im old fashioned but i think that it is a crime to overcharge people for meds regardless if they come in a bottle from bristol meyers or from a well maintained soil or hydro grow, properly flushed and cured with all the love one can give a healing plant... what do you say rhode island? check his posts, damn near every one is pointing to his website or defending himself because he is a cop (constable) whatever... has he helped a single one of us? given advice worth taking? or just said, hey come to me and pay what i say for what i claim is medical grade ganja... think before you associate with profiteers like this one... maybe you think you know something, maybe you just want to green rush to come to your door, but i say i'm tired of you spouting the same old lies and bs day in and day out... you sir (ridispensary) are a charlatan and at the least are profiting on the misery of others... how is that for "proof of concept"??? jacka--...

Mine is better then the one you posted. It has an air stone in addition to the Farm Kit and a dual output air pump. The more oxygen the better! Further, the one you posted is not a Deep Water Cultivation Unit (fastest way to grow) it appears to be a Flood and Drain System (EBB).

if only you knew anything about actual growing rid... for all the talk you talk you sure don't seem to have any actual knowledge... also your grow-room looks like my 6 year old put it together when he was in a rush to get outside and play... maybe you should have taken some time to actually learn from the massive amount of knowledge that is literally one click away on this very site before posting about how much you know and how smart you are ... douche... if you actually knew anything at all, you would stop being such a pompous ass on what is effectively an anonymous site...

Well i see the medical section here is getting pretty heated.WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POINT OF THIS BEING MEDS.I have a card and on a GOOD DAY i seem, walk, function, and LOOK AS IF I HAVE NO ILLNESSES untill i need my meds.I have nerve joint and muscle conditions and once they start i can hardly move out of bed walk or function..So why, CAREGIVERS are growing FOR US(the Patient)and are making out hand over fist.all while giving there patients the minimum amount of meds?AND they smoke plenty oh this high quality meds..Im no grow pro but do know with 12 plants there will be alot more meds then what 1 patient requires 3 oz a month will cover any patient what do they do with the other stuff..HMMM I WONDER?so why charge the patient that GAVE you the ability to be able to legally grow it.Im new so rip me if its justified but ive read for a few days on a few sites and see the caregivers RAPEing the patients..

all the more reason to take matters into your own hands hgh... get out there and get a light, some nutes and some fox farm... in and out for 500$... or you could just pay that for a little over an oz... sure it will take 4 months to get the first one harvested, but if you can do it, it is way cheaper to do it yourself... you get good enough, you could help others out as well, if you have the space, time, equipment ect... but as long as caregivers get to charge what they want, they will take advantages given to them... my feeling is that most of the ethical caregivers who charge less are fully booked up, and it is only the rip-off artists who charge street prices...

Everyone who does not like the price, should grow themselves. It is a pain in the ass after the initial "wow this is so cool...I am growing weed!!!"...then the electric bill comes...and then it comes again...still no buds...then again and again!!! Then you are finally harvesting, but Wait! gotta let it cure for a month.

It takes some work...lots of money...and some more work. It is worth every penny of $280 and ounce to ME!!!! I am not a caregiver, but anything over $280/zip is really the profit...and though there are some benevolent souls with nest eggs...most people got bills to pay and kids to feed.

I do not know what caregivers provide meds for...but if you do not like it and are physically able...do-it-yourself!!!! After the spidermites find your grow, paying somebody else for top shelf meds wont seem so bad

Im sure it is more work and money UPFRONT but in now way do i see it being more costly to grow then to pay 300+ for an OZ.Not everyone can get it for 280-..people pay over 350 for stuff like we here hope to grow..So IF most caregivers out there are growing for multiple patients, they would have a whole lot of EXTRA "Meds" to smoke and "pass out" Even after giving you the patient your 1-3 OZ out of the 8-10 he grew just for you.RIGHT?Im sure that more then covers the Startup cost and electric..And If they are Good at what they are doing with a nice set up they would be pumping out high yields and killer quality.

Well i guess ill give it try for myself with a 1000watt hps and 6-8 2ft 5Ts. And since u talk about the spider-mites..What "stops or helps stop them"?

miticide (dunking the whole clone/ plant into it), mild organic soap solution rubbed on leaves (i like dr bronner's), capsaicin spray (active ingredient in hot sauce, widely available) OR neem oil (my personal favorite)... lots of folks use just one or two, if they aren't my clones i dip em in miticide, and go to the neem oil if they show up... if they spread i work neem oil one week, pepper spray the next, and soap em down the one following... though that only happened one time... though it sure did eradicate them...

also a little tlc helps to prevent them from coming at all: spider mites love stressed mommies and clones... so treat them with love and care, and don't worry until you have to...

Are you going with dirt or hydroponic?

Also, CFL Daylight Bulbs (100w eq) may work GREAT for vegging. Using three Y adapters to connect four bulbs to one socket is a cheap alternative to the T5s. Beware the bulb's performance downgrades with time. Switch the bulbs out every few months.
