Cable guy shut me down twice, but I have magnetic, not digital. It might have just been my surge protector.

Maybe make a Faraday cage out of an old PC case?

I only have my ballasts on 50% so only 200 watts think that will matter any? I have no interference with my cell phone I use a blue tooth without any problems to

If you have an AM radio, see what it sounds like. That (1000 khz) is closer to the 40-meter band (7000 khz). Bluetooth and cellular are in the ghz range.

40-meter is what hams use to talk across the world. If you're interferring with one of them, they'll follow the signal strength and knock on your door to have a "chat." I don't think they're going to make a problem of it unless you refuse to fix it.

do you really think that the police are really worrying about a grow that uses 400watts? Sure they could go around searching for rf signals. Having funky rf signals does not mean you are breaking the law. They would still need a warrant and for that they would need more than a rf signal. they would check your power ... 400watts could be anything. And really do you think the police are going to waste their time hunting down small time growers? Keep you mouth shut, tell no one and you will be fine.

lay off the weed mate, it making your head shit out paranoia.

In my town they'd absolutely bust a 400 watt grow. That being said, yeah they need more than RF to get a warrant.

ive never had a problem.
ive only used apollo ballasts
(love the company, got to test many new products including tents etc great stuff)

i do grow in a well populated area, in apartments

ive never had an issue...running alot more than you.
i was under the impression that
All digitals have rfi shielding...hence the FCC declaration of conformity stamp

anyway, all good on my end

and everything is working as it should, radio, cable

sure they would bust a 400 watt grow but really do you think they would waste their time? 400w is not a money maker operation. The only way you would be busted is if you are stupid and don't follow they rules of illegal growing. Tell no one, pay your bills and .. tell no one.

Well I feel better after that and yeah I was high as shit last night and started freaking. Anyone know a good excuse for having rf issues if I ever do get a knock at the door?

Remember,

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Take steps to protect yourself but at the end of the day if your doing something illegal you have to be prepared to do time.

Had a similiar problem. After one week of running my 1000 watter cable ppl came out and first cut off my illegal cable. Next day saw a cable truck doing something to the wires. Havent had a problem since. But i did go out and buy a rf filter to cut down on interference.

Ok you have to understand about the noise we are talking about here. It is in the 400mhz band. And often this band is full of noise. I know cause for my hobby (flying drones) I use this band and I constantly am looking for parts that don't make noise on this band. your tv kicks out 400mhz noise, computer ... that regulator that transforms 12v to 5v ... so many damn things. While a good ham radio guy could find you, there aren't many of those people with that skill around.

With laws changing so fast currently, I hope like hell that law enforcement have better this to do ... to protect and service (not bust and screw up people's lives). This time I'm high lol
