I purchased a single seed from each strain (Pick n Mix) from Attitude, hoping to find the "Champions" to clone. I didn't realize many were Dutch, just picked up from the Pick n Mix list by my past experience and reviews. There were 70 strains, unluckily most died during seedling stage due to lack of water, after a series of unstoppable events
Among the seed breeders, Serious Seeds is the best in my experience. But when it comes to best genetics, they come from clones that are not shipped internationally. I wish I lived in Canada and Canada was warmer
Now I have Happiness, Bubblicious, Critical Kush and Motavation revegging.... It will be another journey to test their clone performance.
I've never done a huge seed run, so I cant honestly say that my keepers Come from huge batches..
That being said, I'm sure you found some nice keepers even if they were from only one or two seeds.. I just couldn't have it scattered out like that. Keeping up with all the clones and such must be crazy..
People run so many strains these days, and are so a.d.d about having the next cool high they don't spend time properly dialing in their plant..
I've had a whitefire pheno I've been dialing in for the past couple of years.. She puts on average about 3 more ounces than she used to when I first ran her. She puts out more bud than any other 'cash cropper' I've grown and she's ridiculously potent, the past couple of runs I've gotten resin all up on her fan leaf stalks. (The first runs I didn't have much resin on her at all, comparatively)...
I like the idea of being able to go through a million different strains for variety. But imagine if you'd spent all that money/time on just Serious Seeds and Resin Seeds. I'm sure you'd be a lot happier.
