Looking advice for a reasonable priced RO system hopefully someone that owns unit they can recommend
Around 75-150 GPD units in price range of 200-400 for unit I hope to spend in Canadian dollars.
300-325 PPM water here
good water pressure
this will be for 10-20 plants

Hey @TintEastwood
I am looking at the
https://www.hydrologicsystems.com/products/kdf85catalytic-carbon-upgrade-filter-10x25-for-stealth-ro100200-and-small-boy

removes chloramines ,which are quite high here, maybe that is just a gimmick? maybe regular filter will do that?
I am running 350 PPM from tap BTW
funny was just emailing about about that brand I think I will go with them unless others chime in just sent back a unit that was an open box sale but smelled like swap lol just a matter of which unit they sell
Amazon
said throw it out, plus it is damaged, whoever sent it back boxed er up real nice all full of yucky water and broke parts, what a world lol
I don't mind quality here within reason, price wise lest face it wont hurt having good water to drink .
below is one I had delivered today and throwing out.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07D2GPP92/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
if you see it online open box DONT buy this smells like drained a swamp with it ewwww

Might want to go higher than 150 gpd. A lot higher.
I have a 350 gpd unit and it actually does about 70 gpd.
The rating they give is under ideal conditions, which nobody has.

I have read that about GPD issue rating, it is just for one person and a few plants so even 20 gallons a day is likely enough.
Thank you for your advice, duly noted.

Hopfully a few other members will have some info.
@TintEastwood
Got the filter in and tried it, works great, went from 350 PPM to 12 PPM.
I had 60 PSI water pressure gauge said so thankfully need for pump or bigger unit it fills a 5 gallon in about half an hour give or take. Thanks again for your input it helped a lot

Seachem Prime removes chlorine and chloramine. I drop it in my tap and I have 6 foot tall plants with no issues. My tap is 200ish.

Glad to hear. 12 ppm, awesome.

Be warned......

Dummy me.
I effed up and flooded my garage a bit by forgetting my RO was filling a bucket.

No more!

thanks for your input,
I think the filter I mentioned is designed to remove chlorine and chloramine and after using it is at 12 PPM once filtered I am happy with that.

I get purewaterclub ones off ebay for like $70
chloramine was designed NOT to be filtrated out of water, most filters wont touch it and it is a known cancer carcinogenic hence the KDF/Catalytic carbon filter so I went with one I did already hooked up works great but thanks

Wow, mine works wonderfully, 800 ppm plus going in and 52 ppm coming out, and that 52 ppm is added back with Cal and Mag for flavor, and it works well.

I did see unit you mentioned but decided otherwise as it is above $600 Canadian which I coundn't warrant over other unit , I made best choice for me. I would sooner start with a clean slate and add my own nute's , right now at 9 PPM but that could be as I tested it before I flushed it then hooked it up as it was 11 PPM. I didn't need a pump either lots of water pressure where anymore and would need a regulator.
800 PPM wow that must be some hard water?
