Reverse Osmosis!!

Hi everyone i am about to purchase my first reverese osmosis machine.

Does anyone know any name brands i should look into? Im looking at a hydrologic system200. I am gonna buy it regardless. Opinions on other people equipment and experiences would be much appreciated.

i get my r/o stuff on e-bay. for about $70 you can get a portable one, that you screw into your kitchen sink and put away when not in use. i don't want one that hooks all into the water pipes, i'm leasing right now. if your water has a bunch of crap in it, you really should have one. i don't care who made it, they're all pretty much the same. no sense in paying a lot of money, for someone's name.

Yup Home depot or Lowes sell's them as well you may want to have a look the prices vary quit a bit for these units.

for a while i performed in home water testing and sold water treatment equipment for Rainsoft in the northeast.

from my experience and factual knowledge Reverse Osmosis water is the CLEANEST and PURIST form of H2O on the Earth.

with that being said there is a downside... R.O. water tends to have a very low ph after filtration. it can range from 5-6 normally so if your going to use RO water for your plants make sure you ph balance.

on another note. I'm not familiar with that equipment nor the cost. the RO systems that i sold started at $1300 (for a system thats guaranteed for life)
all i would say is that if your dumping money into an ro system make sure its worth what your paying for it.

I bought a generic one off ebay too. 6 stage. Works great. A year later and the occasional filter change and she is still pumping out perfect water.
