Reverse Osmosis Basement Setup

Looking for a guide or diagram on setting up an RO to a water line in my basement and collect the water in a reservoir. I would like it to stop when the reservoir is full.

Don't know much about a guide, but you can connect the outbound hose to a float valve in the tote. I use a 27 gallon res with an after market toilet float switch. Works well. Could use as large a tank you want. I did 27-30 gal. Just so i could keep elevated on a stand so as to use a gravity drain as needed for refills.

You can install, just need longer line for the feed water that runs to your sink. Also need to have a drain or get a long enough line to run to a drain. I ran mine into my grow room. Installed a faucet for drinking at the sink and a line with a tee to fill up jugs in the grow area. If you get an RO tank, you don’t have to worry about rigging up a float switch or overflows. I just upgraded mine to a 14 gallon tank, but you can get as big as you want. This is what I do for a living. From hobby growers all the way to commercial facilities. If you need some help with a system, just let me know. This set up in the picture is around $400 with the larger tank.
