Reservoir // pump draining while off?

Hello all,

I am running an 8 plant grow using flotaflex's pot pro system under and hlg 550 eco in. 3x3.

My problem is that ive hooked my pump 400gph up to a smart plug so i can water remotely but it slowly drains out of my rez tjrough the pump when its off.

Is there an orientation i can place it to prevent this? Or any other ideas. Because i would like to have a larger rez than the 5 gallons im using now.

how about a pic of the pump/res etc.

Im at work now and will when i get home, but its a eco plus 396gph .pump in a 5 gallon bucket. It just drains into my tent when its not on

You need to break the vacuum that's causing the suction.
Put a pinhole in your line coming from your pump so it sprays back into your reservoir.

When the pump shuts off, the line sucks in air breaking the vacuum and suction.

It's siphoning. Do what is suggested above or have your water level sitting lower than the level of the drippers
