Get a sump pump, one that has a garden hose hookup will make it easier, and attach your garden hose. Then you can use any kind of spray nozzle you want. The pump can run with the flow blocked, it won't bother it.

As far as metering it goes...many different ways i guess... someone else can help you there.

I'm guessing you're growing in soil/soiless. It depends on how big your pots are. Look for about 20-30% run-off. Thats how much runs out the bottum of the pot when you're done. Most new growers tend to over-water/water too frequently so make sure you let them dry out a little before re-watering... this takes time and experience.

Good idea to store the water. Are you tryin to have the plants automatically fed? If so gonna be hard as the amount of water and the timing of watering may be different from plant to plant. I would put that barrel up on blocks and put a spicket at the bottom using 3/4" uniseal and 3/4" pvc pipe with a shut off valve.can glue an adapter ***3/4" pvc to 3/4" barb***and have a flexible tube To fill a smaller container easy. I would keep fresh plain water in the rain barrel with a 396gph submersible pump sitting in the bottom of barrel with a tube connected to the output of pump and going up out of the barrel lid then curved back into the barrel lid. You'll essentially have a waterfall keeping the water agitated and aireaded. I would add just a small amount of bleach to this every 3-4 days after you fill it to keep it bacteria free. Dont overdo it >look--** There's a chart on here for bleach somewhere. This way you could store 50 gallons for a long time. You can fill a smaller container quickly out of the 3/4" valve and mix your nutiret mix up in it and adjust ph before watering. You want to be able to water the pots evenly and according to the individual plants needs. There's these funnels for automotive transmisison fluid filling. A very long skinny funnel. Get this and cut the tip off it if you need to and use it to easily water the plants. Just pour it down the funnel. Move them bitches outta way they'll be alright.

*Where are you keeping the barrel? Inside or outside the grow?
How big is barrel homie

hey bud..its actually under the snow somewhere at the side of my house haha...
right now i have a storage tote u would put clothes or something on it says its like 70 litres or something, id fill it up the day before and just let it sit a day.. its just a pain having to fill it and then scoop out the water with my juice jug lol.. i use about 3.75 litres per 3 gallon pot,it would be nice to just use a wand and put it to each plant to water it.

im not sure where i would find this type of pump..is there any u see on here bro ?

I see. Well if you were to set that barrel up higher than the pots and used the pvc and uniseal you could attach a tube to some type of wand and have it pressure fed. I can help you put a list together if you don't know what you need. I had to make the same thing pretty much

Nice already has a spicket. Just type in 396 gph subsersable pump on Amazon. You'll see the most popular one there
