Required Veg Time for Supersoil?

In subcool's tutorial he suggests letting the plants veg for a total of 6 weeks.

I want to use 9 plants in 7 gallon smart pots under each 1000 watt light I have. This will cover a 4x4 area with pots spaced only a few inches apart from each other.

If I veg them for as long as the tutorial recommends, I'm afraid my plants will overcrowd each-other. Is it possible to transplant my clones into 1 gallons and veg for 2 weeks, then transplant to a 7 gallon with supersoil and let that veg for 1 week then flip to 12/12?

Will there be too much nitrogen in the soil which could hurt flowering since I would be vegging for a shorter amount of time? Or does organics work in a way that the soil just provides what the plant needs at whatever stage of life it's at?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I must have missed that tutorial. Veg for 1 week, 6weeks, whatever is convenient for your grow, but there is no issue with not burning off enough N in veg to possibly affect flower. Especially in soil with the plant and microorganisms controlling things

Awesome! Gonna be running around town today to get all the ingredients needed for supersoil. Cannot wait to get this going!

Somebody chime in if they don't agree with the Nitrogen issue. Nitrogen should be biologically locked up and safe until the plant is ready.

I have really enjoyed the SuperSoil grow so far. I'm growing Sub's Plush Berry. Just transplanted fro straight Rootz to the seven gallon Super Soil pails yesterday, in fact. 6 in total. They looked great before and now 24 hours after transplant.

SuperSoil is just what I was looking for. A proven system, with a recipe and thousands of happy growers. AND this forum, where SuperSoil growers share their experiences. Once in a while Subcool even pops in. Goddam! Does it get any better?

3-4 weeks 1 gal then another month in a 10. that info i believe is in the super soil thread or one of the vids. the idea of that long of a veg is to utilize all 10 gallons. if using smaller pots i suppose that would mean shorter veg. also long veg in 10 gals means less plant #'s to fill the canopy. 4-5 plants per 1000 watt

Blood meal is available right away. i had major nitrogen overdose problems with my sw og's, they clawed like crazy. aside from that, i actually think they need N in flower. I think thats part of the reason s.s. works so well as a top feed. if that N didnt have its place in flower the top feed would show it.

SW OG? You mean Skywalker OG? That's the strain I'll be running now, along with some Northern Lights, Blue Cheese, and Super OG 1.

How hot did you measure out your supersoil? Did you fill up 1/2 of the pot more or less?

yes i filled 1/2 s.s. my recommendation is 1/4 s.s. totally mixed with plain roots on the bottom to make up your hot half. then plain roots buffer on top of that. i have ran sw og successfully before in s.s with the aforementioned cut down rate. i ran it outdoors in a 20 gallon pot and it stayed dark green all season. it is a light feeder and especially sensitive to N.
