Republicans Admit They Will Confirm Obama’s SCOTUS Nominee If They Lose The Election

Obstructionism at it's best. The GOP is already fracturing over this election and the SCOTUS nominee. Mitch McConnell says "No way, no how," top Republicans then send messages through back channels to the White House saying "If we lose, we'll confirm in the last two months," while other top Republicans have begun to say, "We need to give him a hearing." What a funny party. Maybe it's gotten too old lol.

Every one of you fucks thought he was gonna send in a deciding Democrat,...I remember,........ I said Republican but this guy can swing either way. I think the guy is a good choice.

What these Republicans are doing is called Obstructing, but what I call it is treason.

I hope the idiot voters remember this when voting for Congress and the Senate.

I wish that Obama did not find a moderate pick. I hope that he gets voted down in his confirmation hearing if they ever have it and then When Clinton gets elected and the senate is majority democrats they nominate and confirm Rosie Odonnel. The exploding heads and gnashing of teeth would be priceless

Yeah, this seems to be one of those rare instances where the Democrats are actually able to keep their eye on the ball. The long game is winning the White House, because whomever wins this November will almost certainly pick at least 2, probably 3, maybe even 4 Justices. Presidents come and go, but Supreme Court Justices are forever. That's the real prize at stake here.

This thread is a 1 star for sure. It doesn't even make sense. If Democrats win the election, it won't be Obama's pick.
Odds Hillary will nominate the same exact person are highly unlikely, which makes this thread stupid

The OP title is misleading as usual.

The story says if the presidency goes to Hillary and THEY LOSE A MAJORITY IN THE SENATE... Then they would consider nominating him. Which is kinda obvious.

The president gets to nominate a supreme court justice and the Senate gets to approve or disapprove. That's the rules.

Apparently you just skimmed over the "lame duck session" part.
It won't happen unless perhaps if the Democrats win Senate majority too. This is a McConnell tactic in response to Democrats claiming the Republicans are obstructionists.

They don't nominate him. It's not their job.
