REPUBLICAN Gov Christie imposes tax on Amazon internet sales

After reading your article, it says the tax already existed, but the residents were supposed to pay it with their tax returns.

They weren't.

Now amazon will collect it and pay it instead...

The tax is not new.

They (amazon) are also not having to pay it for a bit because they are wanting to build distribution centers there.

Just because technology makes a tax harder to enforce doesn't make it a new tax. This is an overbearing law, but not new.

Fail thread. One star.

Fatality! Liberals lose. Too bad, so sad. Try again.

Well tell me smart guy, how many states impose an internet sales tax?

I'd like to know the answer to this too, I've had an internet company since 1996 and only collect sales tax in the state my business is in. These dumbasses don't know what they are talking about.

Go look at the 1992 Supreme Court ruling on collecting sales tax across state lines, then come back and argue for your conservative buddies wanting more taxes.

All lefties can do is throw tomatoes and give the finger at people who are successful. Look at Occupy Wall Street. Look at the Gov in Wisconsin. They're very ill.
That's right. I would agree if this thread were titled, "Republican governor needs to mind his own business." But then democrats are guiltier of that than republicans and it's opening a whole new hypocrite thread can of worms.

Yeah, that has no bearing on this case. If a company has a significant presence in a state, the feds can enforce the tax. I bought a video cable over the phone ten years ago from Nintendo in Washington, I lived in California. The reason, California considered since Nintendo does a significant amount of sales to California, it has a presence in California and thusly is subject to sales tax.

That was a good try though. Still a liberal flame job fail.

Dear uninformed: The Feds don't have anything to do with sales tax.

And what you're talking about has always been, the article in this thread is about collecting sales tax on all Amazon purchases regardless of a state presence....basically you don't have a clue what you are even arguing about.

I guess you're wealthy then, good for you. Occupy isn't over and the Gov of WI is a corporate tool POS like Christy. Someday you'll see who's pulling strings. I'm successful but I'm not a greedy fuck like most of the rightwing db's and I don't mind paying my fair share of taxes if it wasn't for bombs and drones and killing innocents but hey, usa, fucking-A.

Here is your typical pro-business conservative, his only knowledge of business consists of buying a Nintendo across states lines and thinks the Federal Govt collects sales tax, and then yells 'fail' at his betters when he's proven to be an uneducated douche. Go get an education kid.
