Repotting Plants After Suffering Severe Heat Stress

I have been nursing my babies for over a week and a half now, they suffered severe burning and heat stress. I removed all the burnt growth and left the top leaves on only, now these have picked up dramatically and 6 out of the 8 survived which i was pretty surprised yet so happy about.

If you look at the picture below you can see were i have removed all the bottom growth, they look stretched. Im gonna give them another week in these pots and to get give them a bit time to get back to full health. Whats bugging me though is all that stem, when i repot them should i bury the stem or should i give them time to produce more growth lower down?
